Nora Velha — Restaurant in Tavira

Great little bar cafe opposite small supermarket on outskirts of Tavira. A small but great value menu on offer from breakfast to tapas and salads. We've visited once and will be back. Our daughter loved the fresh and tasty burger and my wife enjoyed the steak sandwich, while I had a salmon salad. Selection of beers and soft drinks on offer, and seemingly a range of well known whiskeys and gins. There is a wait for service as it appears there are only two members of staff (chef and waiter), but the waiter is happy and helpful (as well as rushed off his feet!) Very reasonable prices and a steady flow...

The food took way too long to arrive. We waited for 1 hour for the tapas to arrive. We waited nearly 30 minutes for the bottles of wine to arrive too. At the end, we asked for coffees and the bill. Again, it took over 30 minutes for it to arrive. They said that they had forgotten. When the bill arrived, it was wrong. Not worth the money and time. Will not be...

This was our local bar for the week. We ended up going most nights. The service was very good with friendly and helpful staff and the bar had very good outdoor seating. They had live music on the Saturday. We enjoyed cocktails and the beer. Would recommend to anyone...
