Visited this little local mediterranean restaurant today, slightly towards the end of lunch hour at 2pm. There was 1 service staff attending to 3 tables, and after he completed his service to all 3 tables, he appraoched us and offered us a nice corner table. We thought that he was ignoring us at first but we decided to wait as he gave us a nod, to acknowledge our presence. After he sat us down, he came over and was very friendly and warm. He introduced almost all the dishes to us on the menu, with pictures from their instagram account. Spoke really good english when he noticed that we were struggling with our Portuguese. Took the effort to even explained to us the reduction sauces that the restaurant do for each of the dishes and how each dish is prepared. I initially wasnt sure about the food and wanted to play it safe to order the executive set menu, which is available on weekdays at only €7.50. Comes with bread, dips, soup of the day and dish of the day, which today was oven roasted baked ribs. After he showed me the dishes on their instagram account and how the chef prepares each dish, i immediately changed my mind and decided to order from the menu. We ordered a Gnocchi done with half cheese and half bolognaise sauce, a squid inked pasta with mussels, clams, and prawns and a Roasted smoked salmon. All 3 dishes came perfectly cooked and was presented exactly as the pictures, he showed us! The taste of each dish was well prepared and the culinery experience was fantastic. We further ordered the claims with olive oil. Again, we were surprised how tender the clams were cooked. Normally, we end our meal with just the main courses but becuase of the great service rendered, we decided to stay for dessert and coffee. We ordered the Cheesecake o Olive. The cheesecake was very different, it came with a scoop of ice cream, bluberries drizzled on the cheesecake and a side of the Ovos Mole dip. He explained how we should eat them and the flavours mixed together gave me an experience like never before. Imagine, having a slice of cheesecake with blueberries, add a dash of ice cream and a dash of the ovos mole fillings. Indescribably delicious! Overall experience was great and the food, even though slightly more than what we expect to pay before stepping into this restaurant, was well worth it. Highly recommend anyone here who is reading this review to try this restaurant, for its fantastic service, great food and nice quiet dining experience. Sad to say, i forgot to ask the server his name.....

What a beautiful restaurant, with lovely attention to detail in the decor. The couvert and Caprese salad to start were excellent, and the mains were equally delicious. I had the Gnocchi À Olive, and both sauces were wonderful. My husband's Bife de Serra was also quite enjoyable. The desserts were absolute stand-outs; the Pão de Ló is something I will remember for a long time. Perfection! We loved the pairing recommendations with the desserts, too. As others have noted, the service was tops. This restaurant is an absolute gem!

Very nice place with high quality dishes, cooked perfectly. A particular mention to Polvo served with spinach, onion and backed potatoes. For sure to try the bachalao. Large list of wine even from local places. The guy in the service is the added value to the place. Kind and well skilled in talking about dishes and wine. Very good. If some one goes in the neighbourhood of Vagos, it is good place where to stop for a dinner.

What a beautiful restaurant, with lovely attention to detail in the decor. The couvert and Caprese salad to start were excellent, and the mains were equally delicious. I had the Gnocchi À Olive, and both sauces were wonderful. My husband's Bife de Serra was also quite enjoyable. Very nice place with high quality dishes, cooked perfectly. A particular mention to Polvo served with spinach, onion and backed potatoes. For sure to try the bachalao. We dined at Olive Restaurant in late May on our last night in Vagos, after a good meal the night prior elsewhere with negligent service.

We all thoroughly enjoyed both the meal and service at Olive. The care and attention to the food presentation, as well as gluten free confirmation on a few ingredients was outstanding. Recommend the Mediterranean salad, the gnocchi de ricotta and bitoque. The desserts were delicious, particularly the chocolate mousse with the different toppings to enhance the flavor when eaten in a particular order. Our only regret was not eating there the night prior as well.
