Muito bom, recomendo! Atendimento muito bom. A very nice experience which became one of fauvorite indian-style restaurant in the area. Food very rich and tasty, good recomendations by the staff. I was craving some peshwari naan (पेशावरी नान) but they didnt have on the menu. Still they made me a sweet coconut and cheese filled naan which was delicious! Also the selection of vegetarian dishes is pretty broad and rich (we had shahi paneer as suggested, if I remember correcly). The main plus is that spices are used correctly, everything tastes different opposed to other places I've tried in Portugal. Negatives about food, we weren't impressed with the chicken tandoori as it was too salty (we had to take chicken leftovers for an omelette next day). We were told that its the spices that make it spicy, but since I have tried different indian food in many different places and I have a pretty good grasp of spices and herbs, I didn't buy that excuse (maybe they use the pre-packed spices instead of homemade spice mix?). Also garlic in naan a bit too burned to my taste but not for my other person with me. Overall these weren't enough to make the food bad, but could be if we were only having that.
We were less impressed by the ambiance of the dinning room: a bit cold for a february night (we were alone in the room the whole time, good thing that the food was hot the whole meal) and lightning is this bright white which is not inviting (warm light and few chandeliers would definetly set the mood). Toiled also...
Read moreIf you’re craving something spicy and flavorful, this is the place to go. This meal made me fall in love with Indian food. The prices are great! I wasn’t too hungry this time, just wanted something spicy, so I ordered a vegetarian dish — and it was packed with flavor!
Highly recommend the garlic naan — it’s so delicious, freshly baked and full of that warm, toasty aroma. At just €2.5, it brings way more happiness than heating up supermarket naan at home.
Unfortunately, I’m only staying one night — otherwise, I’d definitely come back for the butter chicken and lamb curry!
The owner is very kind and thoughtful. I told him I like spicy food, and he totally got it — even brought me extra sauce, though honestly, the dish was already full of flavor. I felt a little embarrassed because I had just come from the supermarket and was drinking something I brought myself, but the owner even kindly offered to put it in the fridge for me 😂
At the end, he gave me a little coffee candy to refresh my mouth. Every detail showed how much he cares. Total cost was just €10 — absolutely worth it.
Highly recommend this place if you’re Chinese and looking for something spicier...
Read moreafter 50 days of walking the camino de santiago from france, we finally crossed the border and arrived in portugal—on foot, tired, proud, and ready to celebrate. the plan was a festive portuguese dinner first but then, just a few meters from the hotel, i spotted an indian tandoori restaurant… and my inner desi/nepali soul couldn’t resist. portuguese food would have to wait.
i sat down to a feast of warm, freshly baked naan, rich and flavorful shahi paneer, and a cup of chai that almost made me cry. after weeks of pilgrim menus, this wasn’t just dinner—it was a hug in food form.
i didn’t know how much i missed those spices, that taste of home, until the first bite. sometimes, celebration looks like local dishes… and sometimes, it tastes like where your heart belongs.
big thanks to the super friendly staff—and of course, for the yummy food. definitely recommended to all pilgrims and guests...
