No, you do not go to three places. Go to PedraVerde in Vieira do Minho and experience the three in one go. My wife and I spent a few days in the area and walked into Pedra Verde more or less by chance for a liquid refreshment and were talked into returning for our evening meal. We have live in Portugal for 18 years and travelled around the country a lot. Never before have we experienced such fantabulous foods, wines, and service. Just let Senhor Nuno, the restaurateur, guide you through the menu and the wine list and you will not get a better meal in the entire Republic of Portugal.

And the final surprise will come when you get your bill. All Nuno's prices are very moderate.

If you want to make the best of the visit Nuno has rooms above the restaurant for you to stay in and he will serve you breakfast the following day in the morning. In fact, Pedra Verde would make a splendid base for you holiday in the beautiful Vieira...

Had the shared (2pax) steak board, the local red (nice dark, chilled, with a slight sparkle, sounds strange but as a picky wine lover, give it two thumbs up), green salad (tomatoes were great), yellow sausage, and olives. All but the last two were stellar.

I had indicated I had a gluten intolerance but neither waiter picked up on it enough to mention their homemade sausage had bread stuffing. Good thing I asked again before eating. And the olives were not great - something that should never happen in Portugal or Spain, in my humble olive-loving opinion.

But there’s a reason this place gets top ratings for the area. The experience was overall very, very good.

Depois da não tão boa experiência que tive com a minha família no Café da Ponte, que escolhemos por ser o local mais próximo da residência onde estávamos instalados, começámos uma busca por restaurantes na zona e encontramos o Pedra Verde a 8 km.

Decidimos ir exprimentar e arrisco dizer que foi uma das melhores decisões que tomámos em toda a nossa vida. Passou a ser o local onde fizemos todas as refeições durante os 3 dias em que estivemos no Gerês.

O Sr Nuno, dono do estabelecimento é uma pessoa super amável e simpático e um querido com a nossa Matilde que num dos dias ia a fazer uma birra e o Sr até um papel e um lápis trouxe para ela desenhar e se acalmar. São pequenas atitudes que contam muito!

A senhora que estava a servir ás mesas juntamente com a esposa do Sr Nuno são duas máquinas! Pessoas fantásticas que sempre foram o mais céleres possíveis nos nossos pedidos.

É incrível o quão bem acolhidos nos sentimos naquele estabelecimento e que com certeza será o nosso local de eleição para voltar sempre que formos ao Gerês.

O que dizer mais? Comida? De 0 a 10 dou 20. Comida deliciosa e feita com ingredientes frescos!!

Ambiente fantástico e acolhedor. Casas de banho limpas e inclusive, reparei que há música para os mais demorados 😅
