Tasquinha do Barbas — Restaurant in Vieira do Minho

As starter i shared the cheese balls, the alheiras and the gouda with bacon. These were simple oven snacks and okay in taste.

As apetizer drink i ordered a nice Nikka whiskey which turned out to be the last of the bottle. And was thus half the size of a normal whiskey glass.

My main course was the breaded chicken steak. Which ultimately was really bland but not as bad as the dishes my friends ordered. The worst was my mate not being able to chew his stake.

It also took atleast an hour for us to receive the food while others that came in after us got it faster.

I do not understand all these reviews. I cannot recommend...

I cannot agree with the other clients I’m afraid. A very bad meal. Ordered 2 starters mini cheese balls and the Portuguese sausage. Both very greasy and poor taste. We ordered the steak with mushrooms sauce. The steak was very hard and chewy with a very blend creamy sauce which didn’t taste of mushrooms. My bacalhau was a disaster too. Smelly fish with a greasy bread crumb on top. Nice restaurant though with a lovely service. But that’s it. Price wise € 47 for 2. Very steep for...

I had a wonderful meal here – starting with a tábua de queijos e enchidos, which included four types of cheese and four types of cured meats, all very tasty and beautifully presented. For the main course I tried bacalhau com broa com legumes e batata a murro. The cod was excellent – a very generous portion, prepared from a thick, high-quality cut, full of flavor.
