Estaleiro — Restaurant in Vila do Conde

Very friendly, cozy, comfy atmosphere in a simple surrounding. The people seem to like each other and the guests very happy and smiling - which for me is always a very important sign for a good restaurant, apart from the good food of course. We had grilled sea bream aka Dourada and it was delicious. The salad was, too. The potatoes weren't freshly boiled, but that wasn't a tragedy. The most expensive white wine bottle on the menu (11,50euro) was very nice. I had this "BOLO" cake as desert, at least that's what it said in the bill. We visited for Sunday lunch, the place appears to operate as a café, bar, TV lounge, takeaway and restaurant, and caters to locals as well as people from the nearby camp site. Skewered prawn and squid was fresh and nicely grilled. The dessert was too sweet for my taste, but a decent strong coffee made up for it. I've given four stars rather than five as I have eaten in more refined restaurants...
