O Descobridor — Restaurant in Vila do Porto

At the entrance the tables were set, I chose one and the waitress SCREAMS. "Hey, it's already reserved", even though there was no indication. I got scared but went to any table. The plate said Squid Squid. I asked for squid in a tomato and olive oil sauce. Call it what you want Lula a Santa Maria, Lula the style of the house, but grilled squid never was. To solve it, I asked for a bitoque, minutes later he came to say if it could be fried eggs, he said yes. Then they gave 2 poached eggs, rice and potatoes. I wasn't alone and the other person already had the plate on the table My amazement when paying, 8.50€, as if it were a dish of the day. Would anyone pay that for 2 poached eggs? What was most critical was that the employees including the owner of the place. The mouths asking how much I wanted to pay, I said that they should go together and charge how much 2 eggs with rice and potatoes were worth, the maid from the initial screams saying again to the screams, that they weren't there to give things for free. I never ask for anything for free, I just don't think it's fair that they charged €8.50 for 2 eggs, rice and potatoes. I do not recommend it, if you live from tourism you should pay attention to treating tourists.

A entrada as mesas estavam postas escolhi uma e a empregada de mesa GRITA."Ei já esta reservada", mesmo nao havendo nenhuma indicação. Assustei me mas fui para uma mesa qualquer. O prato dizia lula Gralha. Pedi, veio lula em molho de tomate e azeite. Chama como quiser, Lula a Santa Maria, Lula a moda da casa, mas lulas grelhas nunca foi. Para resolver pedi um bitoque, minutos depois veio a dizer se podeia ser ovos estralados, disse que sim. Então deram 2 ovos estralados arroz e batata. Não estava só e a outra pessoa ja estava com o prato na mesa O meu espanto ao pagar, 8.50€, como se fosse um prato do dia. Alguém pagaria isso por 2 ovos estralados? O que foi mais crítico foi que os enpregados inclusive a Dona do local. As bocas a perguntar quanto eu queria pagar , disse que fossem juntos e cobracem quanto valia 2 ovos com arroz e batata, a empregada dos gritos iniciais a dizer novamente aos gritos, que eles não estavam ali para da coisas de graça. Nunca queiz nada de graça, só não acho justo cobraram 8.50€, por 2 ovos arroz e batatas. Não recomendo, se vive do turismo deve ter atenção em...

We had to wait for an hour to get our entrees and our main course was served 2 minutes later. Unpealed garlic, some green potato pieces and the meat was not tender. We were very hungry, but left meat on our plate... No apology or asking how the food was or anything... We got in just around 2 big groups came in, so perhaps they forgot about us and then made our food in a rush. But there are better...

Really great place in Vila do Porto! We stopped here after we did the hiking route on the island until our flight and were surprised by this little gem we discovered - absolutely amazing food (try the lulas grilhadas), nice terrace, free wi-fi and cold beers.
