If the wait times at O Forno are too long, this place is a fine alternative.
The food is a 3.5/5. Granted, we came around 2:30pm on a Sunday so a lot of options were sold out already. We ordered salmon, chicken, steak, and sea bass. The steak was way overcooked even after we told our waiter we would like it cooked medium with some pink. The salmon smelled and tasted abnormally fishy, although it was seared incredibly well and had great texture. The chicken was delicious. It was tender and juicy. It came with a delicious sauce that was similar to soy sauce, but I’m not certain that’s what it was. Our sea bass was undoubtedly the best entrée. It was cooked perfectly and it was full of fresh flavor. I would definitely recommend ordering the sea bass over anything else.
Our experience with the lengthy waiting times was a little expected. It took about 3 minutes for us to be seated, 15 more for us to be given menus and order, and then just under 60 minutes for all 5 of our entrees to be served.
The staff were very friendly and some spoke English with a high level of proficiency. It was easy to communicate, although the menu was entirely in Portuguese.
