Morgado Taberna 2017 — Restaurant in Vila Franca de Xira

This is a gem, and you discover it already when the phone booking is answered by Angela in her a rare serene ambiance.

The suburban location offers parking and is easy to find. The ambiance is very cosy, the service is excellent to the last detail and the food is genuinely good at very fair prices.

The wine list is extensive but somewhat tricky; we had a good Barão deal Nelas 2011, Dão for €33 (which cost less than €6); and a glass of Alto Pina 2022, Setubal for €6 (where a bottle costs around €2).

We first shared a delicious Choco Frito and the a good cabrito with honey fried bread; with couvert, coffees and water we paid €105, which is fair but we will be more careful with the wine next time, because we will no doubt be...

One word: perfection. From the moment you walk in, the ambience, the service, the food, simply everything. I highly recommend this restaurant. Found it by chance when looking random reviews on google, got seduced by it and decided to try.

Honestly, we were amazed. The service is excellent, they are highly attentive to your table, although do not push it and become intrusive.

The food? Oh well, to die for. We had the cod and the pork, it was just outstanding. Smell the olive oil, you can even identify a level of nuts.

The desert? It is what’s on the day. We had something with butternut, not too sweet and still veeery tasty.

If you appreciate good food, you must try.

I will be coming back and have recommended it already...

By far one of the best restaurants I visited the last month's.The decoration is beautiful with a great taste, the environment very cozy, the staff very helpful and with a great attitude and the food so amazing..very well cooked, excellent presentation and great ingredients from the starters to the deserts.Congrats and I definitely will go...
