It was our great pleasure to be the guests of Cantinho do Manhas this evening. They had to cancel our reservation at the restaurant because they were given the honor of serving food at the local wine festival that night. So they invited us to go as their guests! We just arrived in Vila Nova and went directly to this restaurant, after reading the reviews. We were not disappointed! The welcome was very friendly and the food was appetising and varied. A lovely waitress from Brazil spoke excellent English, so language was not a problem. We had to wait some time for the food to come, because all of the clients had arrived at the same time. We enjoyed a very nice evening at the Cantinho do Manhas. The couple which runs the restaurant is very friendly and helpful with the menue. She brings a nice Brasilian touch to the Portuguese kitchen. As a winemaker he knows the best local wines and advised us perfectly with matching our food with the right wine.
