Taberna do Barriga Verde Restaurante — Restaurant in Vila Nova de Foz Côa

What a random restaurant... it smells like sewage when you walk in and then to get any service is hard and with an opinion with everything you ask! Not even tomato’s they had... cos when I asked for the tomato and basil salad the waiter just said we don’t have this. We reserved a table for 8 and we were just 8 and then 2 friends that we met came to join us and this was the endgame for the waiter, he wouldn’t even sit them on another table, when we walked into the restaurant there was only one other table with a couple! In the end there was only 7 people, I left cos found the waiter rude and super unprofessional and the fact he said they didn’t have the most simple thing on the menu when the restaurant was pretty much empty! I don’t recommend this place! There are much better places with less rude staff! I never write bad reviews but this place was so awful...

Fantastic restaurant! We ate here twice during our stay in Vila Nova de Fox Côa, and loved it. They serve local dishes, prepared with a personal touch and care about recommending the best food combinations. The personnel was super friendly and kind. Absolutely recommended. Our dinners there will be a great memory...

I was the first to enter at 19:45. Awesome food, good wine, even better dessert. Just one thing, the smell. It's awful, it smelled like urine. The door was closed because of the extreme heat and the AC. But the smell was really unbearable, it spoiled...
