I recently visited Restaurante Dicasa, a warm and unpretentious spot with a homestyle feel. The interior features a compact dining area with wooden tables, soft overhead lighting, and an open kitchen that adds a welcoming, casual vibe.

I started with their mixed starter—a platter of house-cured meats and cheeses accompanied by fresh bread. For the main course, I chose the traditional Portuguese steak with creamy rice and sautéed vegetables. The steak was tender and well-seasoned, and the sides perfectly complemented it—comfort food done right.

Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything tasted authentically homemade. What stood out most was the friendly, attentive service; the team balanced efficiency with warmth, checking in thoughtfully without interrupting the experience.

To come to this place i had probably the longest walk I ever did in Porto. So I was building a lot of expectations along the 2 hour walk. I have to say that the overall price quality ratio is not bad. However I did not understand the hype of the tomato soup. Its just tomato concentrate with sugar and salt. Probably no fresh tomatoes were used in preparing the soup. The pizzas however were up to expectations, it's a proper wooden fired oven and the ingredients are fresh. The tomato sauce and the cheese are authentic and only one person in my group found the pizza too fatty, with excess truffle oil. The limoncello is nothing special and didn't try deserts. Rude staff. The waiter never brought water that was ordered together with meal and bottle of wine. When we were paying I have mentioned to remove water since it never arrived to our table at what I had an answer that he did bring water and that he will offer me water so I won’t annoy anymore. How can you offer something that I never received? Moreover 2 of my friends felt sick after (stomach ache, nauseas).
