Cuisine: Khaleeji (Arabic) – Basically their Rice items!!

This review is based on inputs from myself as well as fellow foodies who have accompanied me to this restaurant.

ALL RATING ARE IN THE SCALE OF 5. A rating of 5 mean Excellent while 1 is Poor.

FOOD: RATING 4.5 OUT OF 5.

Item 1 –Salad / Appetizers

If you have been in an Arab country for more than 6 months I am sure you do realize that the Starters/Appetizers menu in the Arab cuisine is Hummus, Muttabal, Fattoush, Mezze etc.

The Turkish & Lebanese are the best in this.

Afghan brothers as the name suggest in not one of them hence. The appetizers here are more of a namesake that needs to made as part of restaurant serving Arabic dishes.

Item 2 – Grilled Item – Both Chicken and Mutton / Lamb

Worth the try but not a must try. If you still insist go for the Grilled Charcoal chicken

Item 3 – Main Course – Mandy / Mandhi

The Mandi Goat Meat (NOT AUSTRALIAN MEAT!!) is the Legend of the Menu.

The Chicken is not bad either but the Goat Meat is too good.

Item 4 – Main Course – Bukhari

The Bukhari chicken (with Grilled Chicken) is the best bet

For all those Hummus lovers, this is dish does fit the bill as a feel good hummus.

Item 5 – Desserts and Beverages

SERVICE – 3.5 OUT OF 5

Good Service for an always hectic place but then do expect the waiters to welcome you at the door or guide you to the seat and handout a menu.

It is in the famous al Nasr street (Fereej bin Nasr). A Doha dweller can never miss this place. Parking can be a hassle but then all restaurants located on main/ important roads of Qatar have this problem. Depending in what time you get there, the traffic density can be anything between to Dreaded Bumper to Bumper or Delicately Smooth.

I rate this place 4 (The wallet may be needed)

The generous portion size, good quantity and the wonderful taste.

AMBIANCE: 2.5 OUT 5

Not much ambiance to speak of other than the Private Majlis (Small independent rooms with seating on the floor) that gives you a private feel but then like I said with service. You will need to get up every now and then if you planning to order as you go instead of ordering the food all in one go.

They do clean the place in a jiffy but then it is in a jiffy don’t expect super polished tables!!

DECOR AND SEATING CAPACITY – 3 OUT 5

Nothing much to talk about the Decor. Ample seating.

The food is really good but i ordered really early so it won't be busy so we orderd and after 15 minutes it started to get really busy so we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food and the other people got thier food and the customer service is really bad i said where is the food they keep saying five minutes i said okay but it's really 30 minutes!! I have thought twice before writing my feedback, I got an extremely bad experience with this branch. The reason of I choose this restaurant mainly brand name and taste of Arabic dishes.
