La Bettola del Parco — Restaurant in Bacău

So, based on reviews of others I've visited for a nice lunch this restaurant. Being an avid lover of Italian food and have traveled to many places eating finer and less finer foods, I had to give it a try. The prices as a mean is higher than other Italian places you might find in the area, but promises alot through value (I was told). Because I wasn't very hungry (luckily), I ordered simple so the dish was Tagliatelle Al Ragu Bolognese. The serving size was smaller than expected for an adult man, as for the ragu...it was comparable with the one you buy at your local supermarket.

The selection of beers was limited, it was very warm and due to the parking right outside of the restaurant the glare from the sun on the windscreens of the cars were blinding first and second rows of people. The experience was poor and I simply wouldn't recommend. If you do find yourself eating here, don't try Italian, just go for the steak...as they looked and...

First of all this review has 2 stars for different reasons. Romania is a beautiful country with good food and tasty wines however we are talking about Italian food and a culture that need a lot of respect. I am happy with the lady at the phone for the reservation and was very polite. The interior of the restaurant is very elegant, sophisticated but I was disappointed by the cigarette smoke. I don't understand why there is no special smoking area, because there are even children at the tables. ( Please take as advice using a smoke extractor , there are non-smokers who would also like to visit). When ordering staff were very attentive but then we were left to our own devices 2⭐. A restaurant that wants to be classy & posh, compared with other places.

Yes, the restaurant has a great location-near Cancicov Park, the terrace is exquisite-stylish furniture, aquarium & alive seafood to be picked & cooked on the spot.

The taste of food is decent, but very, very pricey. Upon my visits to Bacau, I've had some dinners here. Over the years, they became a bit greedy, and it seems too much for what the restaurant & staff can offer to the customers. There are a decent variety of meals to choose from, drinks too (must try the house melon drink).

The stars given are for the ambient and love for seafood. Some details could be improved (cleaning, staff etiquette).
