Dumbrava Hotel — Hotel in Bacău

We arrived late in the evening, returning from the Carpathian Mountains en route to the city of Iași, just to spend the night with 2 children, but we couldn’t do it because when we entered the room, it was very hot, the room was 28 degrees, and the air conditioner wasn’t working. I turned it on, it ran from 10 PM to 1 AM and only lowered the temperature to 25 degrees, I had to turn it off because it was making a lot of noise, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t reduce the speed, it was impossible! After I turned off the air conditioner, I realized that this wasn’t the only noise in the room, plus there was vibration from the air conditioner in another room, the entire room was vibrating. This was the worst night in hotels, and my wife and I with 2 children have been traveling around Europe for a month already, we have changed about 20 hotels, but we haven’t had anything like this before. I do not recommend this hotel!!! When I was checking in, the only request at the reception was to give me a quiet room! I didn’t go in the middle of the night to change the room because I don’t see the point in packing all the things, moving, making the bed for the children myself, which I had to do late in the evening, I didn’t do it, but I couldn’t...

I needed to stay in Bacau for just over a week and booked an apartment directly with the hotel their website and via email. The booking process was straightforward and the communication from the hotel team was excellent. ||||Upon arrival, the reception desk were more than help. The high level of service continued throughout our stay across all the hotel team - reception, housekeeping, restaurant and bar. In particular, all the staff on the reception were absolutely top notch.||||The hotel is situated pretty much in the centre of Bacau - within walking distance to the park and town centre.||||Onto the apartment itself with a living room/dining room, bedroom, bathroom and a balcony. We had also asked for a crib for the bedroom for the little one. It was spacious, clean and quiet.||||The hotel's facilities were very good for this town (we had stayed in other hotels in Bacau before). Just spent a night at Dumbrava Hotel and had to share!

Even though it was a short stay, I was really impressed with this place. The hotel is obviously new - everything feels fresh and well-maintained.

My room was spotless when I checked in and had a really nice design to it - not the boring generic hotel look you often get. Crashed on the bed later and wow - super comfortable! Slept like a rock. The air con worked perfectly too, kept the room at just the right temperature.

The staff deserves a special mention. Everyone I dealt with was genuinely friendly and helpful - from check-in to check-out. No fake smiles here!

Decided to eat dinner at their restaurant rather than going out, and it was definitely the right choice. The food was great - nice quality and tasty dishes.
