Casa Miorița — Restaurant in Lupeni

Clean place, decent food but with serious customer facing minuses.. We arrived 3 families for a 4 nights stay and planned to sky during day time and play some board games during the evenings. Instead, the host was very strict and closed the dinning room at 9PM. We could not stay there for a chat or something else. we've had to clear up the place at 9:30PM max. On the leisure side - There was no other lobby or place we could stay and have a chat .. kids played on the halls a bit and stayed locked in the rooms which were small really. and the bathroom sink was projected for Snow white dwarfs, so small it was. On the food side - you could have burger menu that came with chips, but you could not order chips alone :-(. And some other little things that were so obliviously outlining inflexibility of the staff and of the host.

This made our stay bitter instead of joyful in a place which by all means suppose to be relaxing and tourist friendly.

Worth knowing...

it was a sensational choice, we certainly will come back, everything was top: optimal location, just steps away from the cable car, the owner and employees are very warm and helpfull, the rooms although not huge - were cosy, clean and warn. I'm not sure how they manage to do it, but here on the top of the mountain - the food is better than in 95% of highly rated restaurants in big cities. Fully recommend this place!

The food is very tasty and generous portions. We came here 3 consecutive days for dinner and the last time we experienced something that made me give them only 4 stars. If there is very crowded, they are out numered, the service become very slow, we expected 45 minutes for our desert, which never came; in the end we requested to pay and the owner(which was also the waiter) didn’t even know that we haven’t receive the desert because our order never got into...
