Restaurant Casa Veche — Restaurant in undefined

Last Sunday I placed an order for a home delivery. It was a very important anniversary with 7 people invited. As usually, the pièce de résistance was the grilled boneless chicken thighs, from which we ordered 4 portions. Please note that we order from Casa Veche since a couple of years, and initially we were very happy with the food we ordered. And I remember that, at the beginning, the grilled boneless chicken thighs portions consisted in 2 very large chunks of chicken thighs which were very filling and I could barely finish them. Unfortunately for the last 3 orders, the grilled boneless chicken thighs portion size went noticeable downhill. Last time, after we received the order, everyone noticed that taking the aluminum foil containers in the hands these were very light (same as the last 2 orders). When we opened the containers we saw 2 very small pieces of chicken thighs (see the first photo). Fortunately, this time, having a kitchen scale at hand, we weighed all 4 portions and found out that their weight was between 130 and 140g. Now, take into account that in the menu (see the 2nd photo) the portion should be 350g (in raw meat). Then knowing from multiple sources I read that poultry meat shrinkage from raw to cooked meat is about ¼ (or 25%), which translates roughly to 263g in our case, one can obvious see that the portions we received were just half the size we were supposed to receive. That’s OUTRAGEOUS ! This is why I was still hungry after I ate the tiny chicken thighs bites from the received container. Hence we paid double for what we’ve really got (4 portions with a real size of 2). We called the restaurant right away after we noticed the problem to complain, using 2 different phones, several times, but nobody answered. Eventually, I sent 2 complaint messages to the official emails, but from both I received Mail Delivery Subsystem errors, which means the addresses are not working. So, thank you Casa Veche for totally ruining our anniversary! We will never ever order from you again! I even suggest you an ad “Casa Veche, the place where you pay double for getting out starving!” Such a pity I cannot...

I highly not recommend this place to anyone. I was taken here by a local friend of mine who wanted me to see what traditional Romanian food is like. He wanted me to try tripe soup but to our disappointment we waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come only for her to bring us the news that there is no soup at all. I was really annoyed because firstly there should've been a notice when we entered the restaurant saying we have no soup. And secondly the waiter (the woman) was rude and had an aggressive attitude. I am from Romagna Italy and where I live they put up notice signs as you enter the restaurant with what they don't serve on the menu. Very poor customer service and poor management. Casa Veche - Ramnicu Valcea

Mancare buna, nota de plata cu greseli specifice anului 1990 , regasite in 2025

Salutare la toata lumea care citeste, mai putin proprietarului/angajatiilor care ne-au servit. Am fost in trecere prin Valcea, un grup de 16 persoane (familie) si tin sa atrag atentia de comportamentul personalului angajat in restaurant , barmanita-ospatarita, din data de 02 ianuarie 2025. Trebuie sa recunosc ca mancarea a fost foarte buna, dar nota de plata destul de incarcata suplimentar, fata de comnda noastra. Am stat la doua mese , una de 6 si cealalta de 12 , am comandat pe rand , dar nota a fost pe ambele mese (zic eu, tocmai sa nu se poate vedea ce s-a comandat).

1 - la 12 ciorbe am primit 12 chifle care din explicatia ospataritei costa 4 lei bucata, dar pe nota era trecut 4x22=88 lei. Nu am inteles de unde rezulta 88 daca 12x 4 = 48 ,

2 - la masa de 6 s- a comandat 50 ml tuica, comandata la inceputul comenzii, iar la cea de 12 s-a comandat de doua ori cate 50 ml tuica, 50 la inceputul comenzii si 50 suplimentar , adica in total 150 ml , dar la nota era trecut de 5 ori 50 ml, nicio logica...... avand in vedere ca in meniu este trecut pretul pe 50 ml, iar comanda afost de o tuica nu de o tuica dubla

3 - o portie de papanasi in plus, pe nota de plata, fata de comanda data

4 - cantittaea de salau de pe nota de plata ,era dubla decat cea din farfurie ( cel care a comandat salaul , de profesie este bucatar chef profesionist ,nu este important cum il cheama , este doar un argument)

Repet, mancarea a fost forte gustoasa (felicitari angajatilor din bucataria restaurantului), nu ma plang , masa a costat in jur de 1600, eu personal de cand am venit in restaurant am dat ospataritei 50 lei (pentru ,, spor de viteza") si pe unde am fost noi, grupul nostru , nu am chitat mai putin de minim 10% suplimentar pentru servire. Concluzia mea este ca se manca bine , dar atentie la nota de plata, sa corespunda si cu...
