Sodam — Restaurant in Васильевский округ

Frankly speaking it didn't meet my expectations, unfortunately. I was excited a lot, knowing that Sodam re-opened after moving from Kazanskaya. I highly value that they tried to introduce Korea, atmosphere, and current trend of Korea. I figured out those from their neat and simple interior with wall paintings, and dessert menu, in which you may find hottok(хотток), fish-shaped cake with red bean paste(Пуноппан), and dalgona(дальгона) - which are all time favorite of every Korean. Compare to other Korean restaurants, it was pleasant overall. However, I have a few comments. Firstly, I assume that this place aims to attract locals more than Koreans. I believe my message is clear for Koreans. This place is not bad at all, but localized for Korean food lovers. Besides of that, there is "banchan(Банчан)" that you can order(if you need) on the menu with 60 rub - which clearly indicates that this place is more for locals. In Korean restaurants you would've get Banchan already, along with the food that you order. Secondly, Jjajangmyon(Чаджангмён) was very disappointing. You cannot call it Jjajangmyon, no way! It's so obvious that it's made of Jjajang powder from a brand "ottogi". The flavor was so much the same with ottogi's and it was served too(!!) quickly - I could understand the whole situation. And the sauce is too runny. In addition, it'll be better if noodles were different. A Udong noodles were used in jjajangmyon and Jjamppong(Тямпон) but I think slightly thinner ones will go better. Jjamppongn by the way, was much better than Jjajangmyon. It isn't spicy, full of seafoods and vegetables -...

Небольшой ресторан аутентичной корейской кухни с двумя обеденными залами и десятком столиков. Интересное меню, где предлагаются основные национальные блюда, включая несколько традиционных корейских десертов. Блюда - огонь, бескомпромиссно острые, не каждый такое выдержит )) Поджарка из свинина с овощами на скворчащей сковыроде была очень сочной и яркой. Как хотелось бы попробовать и другие блюда. Но порции такие большие, что больше двух блюд съесть нереально. К тому же острые закуски к основным блюдам подают бесплатно. Частые посетители здесь - корейцы, приходящие семьями и компаниями. По их мнению здесь готовят наиболее близко к оригиналу. Очень рад, что у нас на острове есть...

Огромные порции и невероятно вкусные! Мы ходили сюда командой несколько раз и остались довольны абсолютно всем. Очень отзывчивые и дружелюбные официанты. Цены приятные , по соотношению цена/качество/объём лучше не найти! Обязательно попробуйте токпоки, они здесь самые...
