TomYumBar — Restaurant in Tomsk

In my opinion, this is the best Thai experience you can find in Russia. Well, not only in Russia but I think in Thailand as well.

Their Tom Yum Gung (499rub) is a real deal both in quality and its price. It tastes better than in many places back in Bangkok.

Also, which is a very unexpected find, they have Som Tam Gung on their menu (499rub). I need to warn you that its spiciness leve is really Thai Hot. While it was nice to see Som Tam somewhere outside of Thailand, I've got a feeling that it was a bit too bland. I'd suggest putting a bit more honey, fish sauce... just to make it a bit richer in taste. Also, it was missing, I believe the main ingredient, dried shrimps and peanuts.

So yeah, I really enjoyed my dinner here.

Good service. Our Lamb dish was too salty so we called it out to the waitress. She briefly tried to explain that it's normal but quickly agreed to take it back to the kitchen. TomYum Bar is a home away from home. We wish we could take it back to the United States with us. If you find yourself in Tomsk, this restaurant is a must. Amazing interior, amazing food, amazing people. Even the music is great. We have had all of tom yum and Tom Kai, the green curry, the Alaskan rolls, the lemonade, the wonderful pad Thai, and pho.
