HuQQa Riyadh — Restaurant in Al Maathar Municipality

We usually know HUQQAH from bebek Istanbul, and we love the place and team there !! We went to HUQQAH at UWalk Riyadh , 1st my husband and I were going to HUQQAH not The Market , when we arrived at the door we said to HUQQAH so Mohammed the guy on the front door said upstairs the kids can’t go because of smoke but you can sit in the ground floor it’s the same but without hookah we agreed BECAUSE ITS THE SAME!! We had a table inside THE MARKET, the waiter(Ronaldo) give us a menu that is very little choices in it , I asked him please we need HUQQAH menu he said oh sorry I can’t it’s not the same place mam ! I was begging him just for quesadillas based on the one we eat in Istanbul! He said I can’t let me call my supervisor, the supervisor came as we are doing something wrong she said No I can’t it’s not the same , and than she said it’s not anymore in the menu … So we made an order from the Market, Ronaldo our waiter was a trainee any question we ask he was surprised ( may I have one çok kofta ) ohh what’s that mam we don’t have it after we showed him the photo out of the menu he said oh ok ! He has no opinion or advice what is the best or most popular… I ordered the tenderloin with bread fried in butter, the taste was unacceptable bad smell , we asked him to change it, he said I cannnot let me call my supervisor, the most unprofessional Supervisor (ANGELA) came to our table and said oh unfortunately I can give you instead coffee or baklava!!! We told her that we are here because we are hungry NOT because we need a coffee or playing with you guys , and she said I cannot remove it !!!! I was like we need something else we are HUNGRY, she went let me ask the chef , she came back and said but before let me know what you want to order instead!!!!! SOO Ridiculous…. She is really unprofessional and rude for a supervisor!

When we left Mohamad the guy at the door asked us about our experience, and we said 2/10 and he was sorry and said let me call the manager, Ali the manager is an amazing Guy too , he apologized for all what happened to us , and asked us to be back because he wonna fix everything !! He was so upset from his team .

Our Experience was SO BAD , sorry Ali but we can’t recommend the place based on our BAD experience!

Location : u walk .. it a two levels restaurant upper is HuqqA and lower is The Market.

Food : Turkish

Staff : amazing and very friendly

Reservation : for the market is required but for HuqqA is not .

Kids : for the market is ok but not allowed outdoor upstairs .

Ambiance: super good

Service : great 9/10

Good for seniors and young people .

Price : experience ration 10/8

I will keep my old review to tell how the place has changed to worse .

Review can be changed if restaurant or shop didn't keep his standard.

This is my 4th or 5tg visit to huqqa ,, in all sections , market huqqa or the outside seating area .

Every time we get into trouble with staff so maybe it is us ..

First .. the staff brought dirty glass full of thumb prints for tea .. it was gross .

Second we got the bathtub drink in very dirty container , sticky and dirt ... It was too much .

Third ... Staff was arranging the table in fast food restaurants fashion . One staff will drop table wear on the corner of the table .. the other staff will put plates and let you pull your table wear and glass and plate to your side .. self service .

Last .. waiter was all over the place and his arm was touching our food while pouring water or placeing other dishes ..

That was toooooo much for us to take ..

This whah we see about the place hygiene ... It reflects a bad hygiene in the kitchen and other sections of the restaurant .

I asked for the manger v.. another waiter Mohsan stepped up and said he is the supervisor and unfortunately the manger in vacation .

Can't tell more about this place .. will give them a peac of mine and never come back .

One of my worst experiences ever, we went there for a late lunch, we were surprised that our favorite doner burger was not available, doner kebab was not available same as for other menu items, so we decided to try other available menu items, one of our orders was chicken caesar roll but they serve us Adana Wrap Instead, it is not our order, when we informed the waiter about it the supervisor came to table he was rude and not professional he came and place the plate on the table and he said I will not cancel it you eat it, What kind of service is this. then store manager step in and I explained to her the problem, she tried not to cancel, but after a while she apologized and canceled. It is not my habit to criticize this harshly, but the way they treated me as a customer was not professional and I was not satisfied at the same time. the restaurant is beautiful with a great ambiance and there is a good played music but this not enough because customer service and comfort first, if you do not serve me as I deserve for what I pay for, then you never expect me to visit you again and this is what I recommend to my friends and colleagues and here too. Hope you will train your staff for proper customer service managment and always try to satisfy them not to...
