This has been one of the worst experiences that I have ever had in a restaurant. Please note that 95% of my reviews are 4-star+ and I rarely give bad reviews. We had bought discounted tickets for this restaurant from another coupon service that this restaurant subscribes to. The coupon clearly stated the validity dates of the tickets when they could be used (valid for 30 days after the purchase). We tried using the tickets one day after purchase. However, the restaurant manager refused to allow us in the restaurant saying that for the 10-day Eid holiday period he couldn’t allow us to use the tickets. There was no such condition mentioned on the tickets. But since they want to maximize their profits for the 10-day holiday, they decided not to allow discounted tickets to use the restaurant even though the tickets were issued by them (and their proxies). Even if the restaurant manager was correct in denying us service, (which he was not as the tickets had valid dates mentioned), he could have made an exception, especially as the restaurant was no more than 10% busy. The frustrating part was that the discount was no more than 30-40 Riyals per ticket, which for such a supposedly up-class restaurant shouldn’t have been an issue. At one time, it even occurred to us to pay the difference as the amount was little, but the overall manner in which the hotel and restaurant management handled this situation made this not worth the effort or experience. It was clear that the restaurant manager lacked the basic courtesy and the basics of customer service. If he was scared and not empowered by his hotel management to make such exceptions, then the hotel management is at fault for not knowing how to deal with their customers and on top of it all to respect their PROMISE, which was reflected in the issued tickets. Unfortunately, this experience was so bad that I will refuse to ever step in this hotel and restaurant who is run by people who lack basic management and customer service skills. To give the hotel and restaurant some basic training on customer service, customer service is not just about offering a smile when customers hand your establishment the money. It’s about going the extra mile to serve your customers so they can be loyal to your business and say good things about it to others. Clearly, this will not be the case in...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for an extended period of time, serveral times the last 9 months, and I must say that the restaurant on site was a real highlight of my stay. The waitstaff, barista, and manager all went above and beyond to make my brackfast and dining experiences exceptional.
Mr. RANA and mr. SHAKIB and mr. SOJIB were attentive and personable, always taking the time to make recommendations and ensure that I had everything I needed. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to provide great insights into the different dishes and ingredients.
The barista Mr. JUNAID was a true artist when it came to creating delicious coffee drinks. Each time I visited, he took the time to ask about my preferences and made sure that my drink was made just the way I liked it. His attention to detail and passion for coffee was evident in every sip.
And finally, mr AZNI was a real standout. He was always available to address any concerns or questions I had and was genuinely interested in ensuring that my dining experiences were top-notch.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at this hotel. The waitstaff, barista, and manager truly made my stay memorable, and I can't wait to visit again in the future. Thank you for a...
Read moreI was very happy about my stay at the Shaza hotel. There is definitely value for money. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The rooms are well maintained and very well cleaned. The restaurant serves every evening a different themed buffet, allowing to discover specialities from the MENA region as a whole. Service was excellent very caring and attentive. I have been very well attended by all the staff and even if I will mention specifically Shakib and Hassan, everybody was great. The gym is vast with a wide range of equipments. The only thing missing is a rower. The pool is nice and warm, maybe a bit too warm and too small to do laps but great to relax. There has been a few hiccups. Over a 5 days stay. But the staff is always smiley and open to listen. All in all, it is a great choice if you don’t need to be in town early. Traffic is extremely intense in Riyadh and since the hotel is quite away from the center you need to take that into consideration or simply leave with plenty of time ahead of...
