Albaik is a major fast food restaurant chain in Saudi Arabia that primarily sells broasted chicken,fish and shrimp with a variety of sauces. It is one of the major consumers of chicken in Saudi Arabia. The chain has more than 40 branches in Jeddah where it is headquartered: eight in Mecca, six in Medina, two in Buraydah, one in Taif, one in Yanbu, one in Al Qunfudhah, one in Al-Lith, one in Al-Kharj, and one in Riyadh . Recently, Albaik started expanding further into the central region of Saudi Arabia with two branches opened in Buraidah, and planning to open in Abha and further branches planned for the city, in addition to other main cities in the region. This marked the first time the chain has expanded outside its main service area in Saudi Arabia's western provinces. Albaik was also introduced in Saudi Arabia's South Province, in the city of Jizan in 2016. As of 2019, Albaik is constructing its new branch in Al Baha.

The ALBAIK story began in 1974 in the city of Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when the late Shakour AbuGhazalah saw there was a need for high quality affordable food, served fast and courteously, in a clean and inviting environment. Putting all his hard earned savings in this venture, Shakour signed an exclusive agency agreement with a company abroad for usage of proprietary deep-fried chicken spice blends and equipment, being the first in the market to introduce the “broast” chicken concept in all of Saudi Arabia. Jeddah was expanding north from the old city and Shakour found an ideal location in the brand-new Al Dakheel Building at the crossroads of Al Madinah Road and Palestine Street in Jeddah. Never one to give up, taking on challenges head on and finding solutions Shakour AbuGhazalah transformed an old warehouse he’d leased on Airport Road in the Sharafiyah District and opened the first Broast Restaurant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia there in September of 1974. When Ihsan returned, he developed the famous 18 secret herbs and spices recipe and then the two brothers spent the following three hard years, working long hours every evening preparing the secret recipe at an unknown location, and transporting it to the central kitchen for further preparation. The very best fried (broasted) chicken in the world!!!! Went to this Al Baik (on King Khalid road across from the old hajji hotel in Jeddah) from the old Saudia Air Lines Flight Training Center. My very first day at work (August 1994) I had to walk to get chicken for 10 people. I thought i was going to die from a heat stroke half way there. I made it back alive, ate mine, and found it was the best fried (broasted) chicken ever made. 23 years after eating my last Al Baik broasted chicken I still dream about it. I've eaten fried chicken all over the world. I started as a little boy in California, USA eating my mother's southern fried chicken. However, from the very first taste of Al Baik with it's perfection of flavors, crispy and juicy texture along with their seasoned sauce or garlic sauce I knew I had eaten the best up until then. 23 years later on it still ranks the very best fried (broasted) chicken in the world, in my opinion. Google says to type "tell others why you loved this place". But when it comes to Al Baik, it's not the place, it's the food! It's their chicken with the unique blend of flavours and perfectly cooked. I can certify that anybody who will eat this once will become fan of it forever. It's taste will never go from your mouth. There are outlets only in certain places and rush you would see there is huge. If you going there directly to buy you will have to wait for so long. They have online ordering system which is very very convenient taking the case of rush. Once you order you will be given an order number and time at which your order will be ready.
