Egg Shelf — Restaurant in Makkah Region

So let’s talk about this place. I’ve been coming here with my family on an on-off basis for a whole year. It was lovely, friendly and even delicious food was served in here. I have no idea what have changed in this place but it have gotten worse than ever !!! As we arrived we were told that we had 2 and another 2 tables to be free before we got to be seated and YES that makes no sense at all ! I was like okay here is my phone # call me when a table is free DOWN stairs. The guy texted that our table was ready so I technically back that We were on our way, but no reply at all. When we got there apparently they didn’t even care about the text and gave our table out to someone else! Great right? Nevertheless, then didn’t even care about say SORRY. We were let to wait inside the restaurant who we were told before we CANNOT do! Rules change based on the guy you talk to. As we waited for 15 minutes we were given a table upstairs! We were like no we asked for downstairs and the guy walked away from us as we were nothing ! He came back later to tell us that we shall wait even more for the table downstairs. We were mad by the time we were given the table. So the food the environment everything else didn’t matter to us by then. Would I come back to this place...

This is a new restaurant in Jeddah that serves mostly Eggs plates from 6:30 till 18:30 / soft-opening. I have been twice to this beautiful decorated new restaurant hoping to try most dishes. So far I had 3 dishes and coffee / tea.

The place is bight and colorful focused on Yellow & white as the eggs' color Comfortable seats and sofas with too friendly service and attitude. You will be in a welcoming environment as you get in and out by Saudi youth ( blessed all) 🙏🏼 I have tried : إيج فلورنتين و إيج فيوجن و عش الفلافل (Check Photos) I liked Egg fusion as plate's presentation and tastes although the egg was not medium as I orderd but it was fine, perfect bites had balanced the running egg. Ratings 9 The Florentine was less favorable due to too much sauce and I had it missing the Salmon 😊 must be us who confused the waiter with our selective orders. The egg was not medium this time too. Ratings 7 Osh Falafel was impressive; Tasty with creative plate presentation . Ratings 9 Drinks : Tea : Rating 9 - the coffee Rating 6 *The best part is the value of the money with Perfect portion for one person and I highly thank them for that. MUST TRY, NOT TO BE MISSED FOR EGGS LOVER. ALL the best and succss...

▪Drinks: The coffee quality as expected for commercial taste.. ▪Meals: over priced good looking meals yet as expected regular taste nothing fancy or enjoyable. ▪Service: Honestly this restaurant proven to be the worst experience for this month bad manners poor hospitality skills even for such restaurant, poor cleaning services requested twice to clean the table... ▪Dining area: looks missy, cheap broken chairs feels week uncomfortable even for minutes of use, Arabian Egyptian remixed songs kills morning mode, strange for such breakfast oriented restaurant, ▪Location: Good location good parking space.

▪ Verdicts: Typical unprofessional mistakes, feels like a Wana be restaurant tasteless meals, bad cooked egg smells from time to time, you can easily get much better coffee and fresh food from any other egg specialty restaurant save your self the unnecessary public embarrassment and look for other egg restaurants...
