Food Master — Restaurant in Medina Province

Well, well, well, let me regale you with the tale of my dining misadventure at this fine establishment. Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of disappointment!

Picture this: I sauntered into the restaurant, all excited to indulge in a feast for my taste buds. Little did I know that I would witness the world record for "Quickest Serving Ever." Seriously, it took them a grand total of 7 minutes to bring our food from the kitchen to our table. It was like witnessing a culinary sprint.

Oh, but wait, the fun didn't stop there! To add to the excitement, this grandiose establishment decided to transform into a cash-only haven. Yep, you heard it right. They don't mess around with your fancy dollar bills or your high-tech credit cards. Nope, it's good old Saudi riyals or nothing. They even gave my $100 bill the cold shoulder, as if it were a villain in disguise. The whole family stood there, red-faced and utterly embarrassed.

But hey, fear not! A knight in shining armor appeared in the form of another patron who was kind enough to exchange our treacherous dollar bill—for a small fee, of course. What a kind soul, taking advantage of our desperate situation. Bravo, good sir!

In the end, we managed to escape the dreaded fate of dishwashing duty for the evening. However, I must say, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Unless, of course, you enjoy lightning-fast service and the thrill of a cash-only showdown. But hey, who needs convenience and variety when you can have a dining experience that feels like a wild, perplexing...

I would like to share my disappointment. I went there after seeing thousands of reviews and I wanted to treat my family with some delicious food. Everything was great EXCEPT for the food itself. I was so shocked and upset that after spending 240 SAR in 4 people ordering 5 different items, NONE had any taste whatsoever. The presentation was great but wallahi there was NO TASTE whatsoever. It felt like the chef just mixed masala with meat and that's it. The place was good. There were privacy curtains too. But the food was HORRIBLE and TASTELESS. Hot and sour barely had any chicken or taste. Mutton kadai tasted awful.. The bbq platter was WAYYY below average. The sizzler chilli chicken barely had any taste and full of food colour. I request the management team to please do the taste-check periodically to make sure your chefs are maintaining the standards. Please think twice before going there. Come for sahoor, march 10, 2025. I heard that this restaurant is better than some famous restaurant (i overheard it on the bus 😆).

Ordered butter chicken and turns out the taste is DELICIOUS! As far as I know, here in Medina and maybe everywhere in Saudi (cmiw), it's amazing.

As I expected, the small portion is enough to feed 2 Asian stomachs like us. The butter chicken came with 3 pcs of paratha bread and a cup of sauce (?) the green liquid tastes like cimicurry or coriander leaves with some herbs (sour and fresh).

We ordered karak chai. I personally like it, but my husband doesn't feel so. They came without sugar, and you can add sugar as much as you liked it.

All staff were super nice and helpful. The price is affordable, the place is quite clean and nice. Overall, i highly recommended it and maybe wanna try another...
