I recently had the pleasure of dining at كباب البلقان - Balkan Ćevapi, a charming restaurant in Riyadh. Specializing in authentic Balkan cuisine, this eatery offers a delightful culinary journey through the flavors of Southeast Europe.

I was craving some unique kebab and we decided to visit this restaurant. The ambiance is great, immediately transporting you to a different part of the world. 5/5 For the food, we ordered mushroom soup 4/5: creamy, good but missing something. Balkan potatoes 4/5: same as batata harra, fried potato cubes with spices. Crispy and the spices are good but again missing a zing. Balkan kebab 5/5: while the portion is small, the flavors were spot on with all the sides that came with it (bread, diced white onion, sour cream, red dipping sauce like muhhamara) Bulgarian kebab 4/5: kebab in fig gravy, the flavors were amazing but missing sides and the portion is small again. Chicken shwarma 3/5: more like pan fried chicken sandwich Kebab sandwich 5/5: well seasoned and has nice toppings. Cheese and spinach pita 4/5: similar to Turkish burek, fresh out of the oven. Lemon mint juice 5/5: freshly made to order and refreshing in the summer. On the downsides: the long stairs aren't suitable for special needs people and strollers, and the lighting needed to be a bit brighter. Overall, nice experience in Riyadh and would like to try...

I had tow important guests, a German & a Lebanese. Both high ranking officials. I wanted to take them for dinner to a different place like no other. A place where they can have a new & unique experience. Balkan Ćevapi was the choice. Balkan Ćevapi is really the undiscovered GEM in Riyadh. It’s like a restaurant inside a traditional Balkan museum. Wherever your sight falls there’s always a piece of art to explore! My guests enjoyed the food, the hospitality, and the atmosphere. A huge THANK YOU to the owners and to the wonderful staff.
