If you don’t want to get food poisoning, don’t ever eat in this restaurant.
The workers have no knowledge of cleaning seafood, and they leave all the dirt in the shrimp..this is how they cook it then. If you wouldn’t cook a chicken with leaving everything inside it, why would you do it with the shrimp. Besides seafood is very sensitive, and at least Shrimp Shack should know this. The rotten crab has been masked by the spice mixture too; the color of the crab meat was odd but we blamed it on the spice mix..big mistake. You wouldn’t really notice for this reason that both the shrimp and the crab were expired/stored and cleaned improperly, and who knows what else....
If you can’t train your workers to prepare food properly then this is very alarming.
I do wish that after this review there would be a health inspection taking place at Shrimp Shack, to ensure that nobody else has to suffer from food poisoning again, because this is unacceptable under any...
Read moreWhen I was brought to the Shrimp Shack, the name was reminiscent of Joe’s Crab Shack. My expectations weren’t that high at all tbh.
Nonetheless, I was very impressed, by everything. The food was very good, enjoyable, and reasonably priced with a nice variety of seasonings and flavors. The atmosphere was very chill (though someone there really likes Usher’s ‘Yeah’.. heard it at least 3-4 times lol).
The best part though was the staff. Shoutout to our server Elsa and the manager Mark, they were top notch! Their sweetness and attentiveness really amplified the whole experience. When I had a minor complaint, Mark went above and beyond to fix it and make sure we left happy, very happy at that.
We only went on a weeknight when it was a bit quieter, so I’d be curious to see how it runs when it’s busier. I’d definitely go back again as it was one of the nicer dining experiences I...
Read moreJumbo shrimp is amazing. I highly recommend the shrimp shack mix for the sauce. I also ordered fries and instead of paying extra for sauces, i simply dipped them in the shrimp shack mix after finishing the shrimp. I tried the crab quite awhile ago, but i prefer snow crab versus the soft crab, so now i stick to ordering the shrimp. The lobster sounds delicious but is out of my budget-range. I can't speak for anything else on the menu.
I don't know anything about the quality of their dine-in service. I do know that they are among the new restaurants that do not offer closed seating in the family section, and since I'm not going to eat shrimp in my niqab, I always get my order to go. The food is always ready pretty quickly.
They don't have a wide-range of options, but what they lack in variety they make...
