Steven's BBQ Restaurant — Restaurant in Mahé

We have just came back from dinner served by Steven and I am still both amazed and stuffed.

Firstly, if you want to plan a dinner, be sure to contact Steven earlier - I contacted him yesterday and we were able to set up everything via whatsapp. After agreeing on drinks (Steven usually serves wine but we wanted no alcohol so had to talk about it) we met in the morning as you have to pay 50% before the dinner (which is understandable as he prepares everything fresh at home and buys everything especially for you).

We agreed on the dinner at 5pm to which we were late (sorry once again Steven, that’s only our fault) and Steven was a bit upset as he had next reservation 2 hours later and didn’t want us to eat in a hurry. Worth mentioning - he didn’t let us feel that he is in a hurry!

After sitting at the table, we were served delicious salad with homemade dressing and amazing garlic baguette paired with fresh passion fruit juice (which was the best I have tried in Seychelles). A moment later, Steven brought freshly grilled fish and prawns with veggies. Everything was fresh, juicy and you could feel that it was bought on the same day. And the dessert was amazing as well!

And one more thing worth mentioning - you better come hungry to the dinner as there was A LOT of food prepared.

As for the location itself - Steven prepared a table at the beach, prepared small roof as it was raining prior to our arrival and the setting was amazing.

As for the service and atmosphere - Steven is very friendly guy and makes you feel at home during whole dinner which, paired with delicious food, makes it the best experience we had in any restaurant in Seychelles.

My biggest regret is that google reviews doesn’t allow to give 6 stars as that’s the rating Steven and his cooking skills deserve!

What a beautiful day! I surprised my wife for her birthday with a perfect BBQ from Steven. Beautiful location on the beach, delicious food, and a superb host. Don't expect a restaurant. Steven will set up a beautiful and lovingly decorated table for you on the beach and serve you perfectly prepared fish (we had red snapper) and prawn kebabs from the grill.
