First of all, Kempinski Resort is one of the best resorts I’ve been too here in Seychelles and my experience here has been super awesome so far. Today we dined in for desert at Windsong beach restaurant, and I have to say I’m quite surprised with their service, perhaps the rain put everyone in a nonchalant mood. We ordered the ice cream brownie (my husband and I), and it took a thousand years for them to bring my order out, my husband was finished his desert by the time I got mine (we ordered the exact same thing at the same time). On top of that, I asked for small modifications and they forgot one. We then ordered extra ice cream as the ice cream that came with the brownie wasn’t a good portion for this brownie dessert, and let me tell you, I nearly forgot I ordered it because of how long they took, oh and they forgot a scoop of ice cream lmao and when I told the waiter that there’s a missing scoop, she didn’t feel that it was a big deal. The girl was chilllinnnnnnn! Anyway, the buffet inside the resort has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced so if you have a half-board with your stay, don’t waste your time at windsong if you want quick and great service haha. …. Oh I just remembered lmao, we ordered ice cream a few times for room service (coming from windsong) but please tell me why they only behave quickly with generous portions when it’s room service… probably because you’re paying extra rupees for this service I don’t know LOL throws hands in the air. Windsong gets a...

Our recent dining experience at Windsong, which took place yesterday was really bad. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food and the service.

I started with a salad, while my husband opted for the seafood bouillabaisse soup as a starter. Unfortunately, the soup was very watery and lacked any flavor, containing only 3 frozen shrimps and a couple of scallops, which did not meet our expectations. This dish was supposed to be a rich, flavorful seafood soup with plenty of broth — but that broth should be thick, fragrant, and full-bodied, not watery or bland, and have a generous amount of seafood.

For the main course, I had octopus curry with rice, which was also quite bland and needed salt. There was no option to choose the spice level, and my husband had a grilled red snapper fillet with spinach. Sadly, the spinach was not edible, either overcooked or not fresh, and the fish itself seemed to be frozen, which was totallyunexpected and dissapointing given the location in Seychelles.

Service overall was poor, they brought the main dish without taking first the starter plates, we had to help them with the plates. Wine was below expectations as well, you could easily make a better selection of chardonay for glass wines.

Overall, we were quite disappointed, as we have had much better dining experiences in Seychelles, even at more...

We decided to get a day pass at the Kempinski for a little R&R before commencing our travel day. Really enjoyed the pool and sea and just general fabulousness of being at The Kempinski (what a TREAT)!

But you’re here for the food. We were entitled to a lunch tab as part of our day pass at the Windsong Beach Restaurant. Entering the space you are transported to a sea side oasis of luxury. Pure opulence!

We were welcomed with a bread basket with a local pate of sorts. Bread was warm and fresh, although the pate to bread ratio was a bit off.

For starters I chose the Spicy Tuna and Scallop tartare. This was a new twist, and I was not disappointed. The spicyness was lacking though and the avocado was underripe. The dish was very light and refreshing overall.

I know it might not be de rigueur to order fish for starters and mains but after my FOMO at my husband’s Tuna Steak a few nights before, I couldn’t resist! I ordered it rare and rare it was, but oh so delicious! I had no regrets 😊

My husband had the marinated octopus for starters which was very tender and quite substantial for a starter. His poke bowl balanced this being light and fresh.

The service was sleek, professional and unobtrusive. 👌🏽👌🏽

I know Kempinski Resort is not on everyone’s radar, but if you can get a table , do yourself a favor! Windsong is one of the best...

Actually we were very disappointed. We ordered the poke bowl with beef and a quinoa salad. The cook forgot to put 3 topics inside - no avocado - no edamame - no sesam - as you can see in the picture the bowl was so small I could eat it in 10 seconds. Also no sauce it was very dry. Imagine the bowl costs 30€ When I told this to the waiter the cook came out and told me that the avocado was out but he gave me no alternative. Edamame I got after I asked.. That shouldn't be the standard of a restaurant in Kempinski.
