Noisy atmosphere and not-so-clean tables. However, I must admit that this place is really a go to place for lunch for students!!! ^^ But if you're someone like me who likes to stay clean and avoid the covid virus, it's better to takeaway your lunch.

So far, I've tried (all takeaway!):

• 阿婆饭店菜饭 (1 meat and 1 vege: $3.50) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quite delish ^^ Tastier than 一日三餐 and didn't feel that thirsty as I expected, compared to 一日三餐's one. Traditional in flavour. I ordered rice with kong pao chicken and stir fried broccoli. The aunty was friendly but a little teasing. But it's okay 😂 Definitely will come back when there's time!

• 四马路卤面 (叉烧炸鸡扒卤面: $4.20) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5) The aunty is thoughtful and friendly, but a bit slow. That's why the slow waiting time of 30 minutes. That's why I didn't have enough time to enjoy my food since I had something on very soon 🥹🥺 But it's really, really tasty 🥰 the sauce is well mixed, with a good garlicky taste and a lot of ingredients!!! Next time if I go there and takeaway, I'm going to savour and enjoy every bite!

• [滨城人]滨城虾面 ($5.30) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service is good. Portion medium, but it resembles exactly like the real one I've tried in Penang! But not coming back since I cannot spend more than $5 😅 my dad's rule.

• Hougang Ming Ji Fried Wanton Noodle ($4.20) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service is good and portion size is alright ^^ the fried wanton is actually quite nice, but it caused me to have ulcers because it may be too edgy :') but quite tasty. Will come back one day for the non fried wanton noodles. ;-; ^^

• 炸鱼卤面 (forgot the stall name 😅) ($4.20) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5) The aunty is nice and friendly. The portion is slightly less than the 四马路卤面, but the fried fish is really crispy 🥰 but maybe needs more fish meat wrapped inside the batter. Other than that, it's really really tasty! I was nodding repeatedly when I was eating because it's so delicious! 😋 Will come back again for sure! Plus it's time saving! 😂 It only takes me about 35 minutes to finish my lunch! Despite the smaller portion and lesser amount of ingredients compared to the 四马路 one, I still feel full, which is great! 😂

(Update) The炸鸡扒卤面is the best!!! The炸鸡扒is really really crispy, although the meat can be more. But it's good! ^^ I somehow became a regular over there since it's convenient and also the 卤面 is very tasty. 四马路卤面may be slightly better but this stall is the no. 1 go to when I have only an hour break!!!

• Tong Tong Fatt Chicken Rice ($3.50) ⭐⭐ Well....$3.50 isn't really filling :') And the boss isn't really friendly, either. I got fooled by the number of news report about Lee Hsien Loong visiting this particular stall. But honestly, it's not really as tasty as I expected. The chicken rice near my area, which is in Sembawang Sun Plaza, is definitely tastier than this. Ma ma dei. Not coming back again. ;-;

• (update) Fragrance Blue Pea Flower Nasi Lemak, Economic Bee Hoon: Rendang Chicken Rice ($4.00) ⭐⭐⭐ Only three stars because the service isn't really good. The lady was fierce and a bit condescending. I bought rendang chicken rice set. It's good, but really spicy. The chicken is a bit bloody so I didn't finish it. Definitely subpar. I even forgot the name of the stall, but now I know since I've done some research. Nope. I'm not coming back again because it's too spicy and the service isn't that good.

I haven't include any pics other than the 虾面 and the 菜饭😂 I'm going to update the pictures when I go to these places again! But not the chicken rice and the...

I am.posting this to warn other diners who have the intention to visit this store 百年stewed poek knuckle at Albert Market and food center . Be mentally.prepared of the rudeness and anger management from the guy who wore specs and have shoulder length hair tie up as pony tail. He was extremely rude and raise his voice at me shouting and even smashes the trays and he is a guy a man who behaved like this to a lady just because I ask him iwhy he is not giving me the portion which I paid for cause I see the staff who is cuttiing the meat just push away a chunk of meat from the knckle which I paid $30 for. Obviously this is cheating so that he could have serve another portion from the cut and made another sale. he simply made up excuses by saying that I accuse his chef and this is showing disrespect to the chef. I did not even shout and I seen it with my own eyes. He was the one shouting behaving like a hooligan and threaten to aak his boss to come down to see the cctv. By all means but by threatening is totally not acveptable. This ia because we have extreme vendors like him makes diners feel angry. I am paying for my rightful portion and he is not giving what I am suppose to have. And he even shouted at me not to visit his stall again. He thought too highly of himself. Person with such bad behaviour the stall will not last long. If the boss of 百年see this post I hope they will look into the matter. Customers are not here to argue or fight after working so hard we just hope to have a good meal which we paid for is that wrong? I do notncondone such act just because he raised his voice threw temper does not mean he is right.. Pray for him that he will reflect. I am guenuine in all my posting on food review. I am not a blogger .I am simply someone who enjoy nice food and hope to share my experience with all. Lastly use to dine often at Nick amd Tom which is a family business that started these afterwhich stalls began to sprang up everywhere but definately the service got worst at most hawkers centre not sure if its franchise but definately I will mot...

-"Wanton Noodle" stall at Albert Centre Market & Food Centre. -27 Jan 2025, I ordered prawn dumpling noodles slightly after 8pm. -The dumplings tasted subpar, but thought just not that nice food and safety wasn't an issue, also the chili may have masked the taste. -5min later, a woman ordered the same dish. -Seated at the table next to the stall (where the other customer also sat), I overheard her tell the auntie (shop operator) that the dumplings were spoiled. -The auntie’s lack of surprise (“spoilt already? okay I change to fried wonton for you”)...didn’t even surprise her one bit...was wtf, just another day huh? -I was bloody shocked, but by then I had already eaten all my dumplings. Let's just hope things are fine. -Went to bed as usual, and by 3:30am, I woke up with severe stomach pains, followed by diarrhea at 4am and again at 6:30am. -My guess is the dumplings, prepared in the morning, were left to spoil and served in the evening. -Hygiene rating was B but that's probably too high. -Hope they have a shitty CNY like I’m having. -Stall and auntie is in pic attached. Took it as soon as I saw the other customer return...
