The sambal sotong is very good, kangkong also well fried. Stingray still good. HOWEVER somehow the oil chill splattered and kena at least 10 spots of oil splatter. Do not wear white. Pls come 15 mins before closing time. 745pm stall close! Went again on a weekday. Less staff but food is still served fast. Ordered a large stingray at $14 to share dishes with friend. Food is served fast. The eatery has 4 servers, one cashier and one chef. Price is labelled and showed in my pic. The sambal for the stingray is sufficiently spicy but not too hot. The chinchalok was sweet and not over powering. The stingray was well cooked. White and fresh stingray meat. Bones can also be chewed upon and eaten. Went at 430pm, less crowd. Pple start coming in ard 515pm. Saw some eating the sambal sotong. Looks very delicious and quite affordable at $13. Will come back and try. From what was serving out, it seems that the sambal stingray is a fav, Tog with sambal sotong and sambal kang kong. Portion seems very generous too. And like one of the reviews here. Aft one of my fav Bukit Timah woodlands stingray branch closed, I was just eating stingray at Newton till no more pong tau auntie. Pasir Panjang was also another fav. Eminent at lavender also closed when place was demolished. This is going to be a new fav.

This has been my favourite stingray store for the past 20 years (it used to be at market I before moving to taman jurong food centre). When i was living overseas for the past few years, i would definitely crave for the sambal stingray once in awhile. Of course, the sambal isnt as fragrant or spicy and the stingray doesnt have much meat relative to the ones i had 20 years ago, but i think that the decrease in standard isnt that drastic to make me feel that the food is not value for money. Perhaps i am just biased since this was the store which i first had sambal stingray thereby reminding me of my childhood days, but having tried sambal stingrays from other places, this store definitely does not lose to them in terms of taste.

This is one of the most popular BBQ Seafood in the Jurong region to get your Sambal Stingray and Sambal Sotong fix. Have been coming to this store for more than 20 years (used to be at another market before moving here). The quality and the sambal is still as top notch and consistent throughout the years. Naturally, due to inflation, prices have increased over the years, but that doesn’t warrant a drop in stars as everywhere the prices are increasing. For a decent portion of stingray at $16 and sotong at $15, the prices are still considered reasonable. Good quality, good quantity, average prices and situated in your typical neighborhood hawker centre; worth it and will continue to patronize.

One of the best stalls you can find in Taman Jurong Food Centre. I have made a comparison between the two stalls onnthe same floor. Without being influenced by the many reviews from the other stall, I give my take and ratings that this is the better stall in terms of food quality and taste My favourite dishes are always: 1) BBQ Stingray 2) Hotplate Tofu 3) Baby Kailan These are the 3 of my all time favourites in this stall. MUST TRY! There are many loyal customers that also go for this stall. Sometimes at peak hours, one can hardly find any seats. One of the good things I must praise os that there is minimal waiting time even during peak season. 5 STARS RATINGS!

We were here early on a Friday evening and food was served in 10mins. Come early otherwise the snaking queue might put you off - yes; they’re one of them popular stalls. The Sambal Sotong was lip smacking good. Think chonky pieces of tender and juicy squidies. The sambal was well balanced, I’d say the best I’ve had. It was so good; I was eating the leftover sambal off the banana leaf! We ordered the Sambal Petai too - these stink beans were well cooked, not too raw nor overcooked. We were small eaters, else I’m sure we’ll be ordering everything on their menu.

No regrets! This is the best I have tasted. Though it is a little far for me but it is so worth it. I enjoyed every mouth, the chilli sauce that goes with it is superb. Seafood is fresh and juicy. Proce is also affordable! We ordered stingray sotong prawn and kang kong for less than 50. All these are the MUST order. If there is one item I have to pick will be the Sotong! ❤️ Lovin it Between 4 to 5 pm on a weekday, you will see people having it already, around 6 or 7, the seafood stocks will be running low. So go early to avoid disappointment.
