🌟 A Truly Unforgettable Experience at Central Thai – 5 Stars Aren’t Enough! 🌟

I don’t usually write reviews unless a place really makes an impression—and Central Thai absolutely blew me away. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I felt like I was transported straight into a serene Thai oasis. The ambiance was welcoming, tastefully decorated with warm lighting and a subtle yet distinct Thai flair. But what truly made this visit exceptional was not just the food (though that was out of this world) — it was also the impeccable service provided by our wonderful server, Mei Wah.

Let me start by raving about Mei Wah. Attentive, kind, and incredibly warm, she made our dining experience feel truly personal and memorable. She greeted us with a genuine smile and checked in at just the right moments—never intrusive, always thoughtful. Her knowledge of the menu was outstanding, and every recommendation she gave turned out to be an absolute winner. She made us feel like VIP guests without ever being overbearing. This level of hospitality is rare these days, and I just want to commend her professionalism and warmth. If you ever dine here, ask for Mei Wah—you’ll be in amazing hands.

Now, the food. Oh my goodness—the food. I’m still dreaming about it.

🍗 Pandan Leaf Chicken – I ordered this once… and then immediately ordered it again. That’s how good it was. Each piece was a perfect little parcel of joy—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with a beautifully fragrant pandan aroma that just pulled me in from the first bite. It was flavourful without being overpowering, and somehow the marinade had soaked into every fiber of the chicken. It was perfectly cooked and piping hot. Truly addictive!

🐟 Lemon Steamed Fish – Words fail me when I try to describe how divine this was. The fish was fresh and cooked to melting perfection. The broth was light yet zesty, bursting with tangy citrus, garlic, and just the right level of chili. Every spoonful of the broth made my mouth water and my taste buds sing. It was the kind of dish you want to keep for yourself but also want everyone at the table to try because it's just that good. I would honestly come back for this dish alone.

🦐 Crispy Cereal Prawns – BOMBZ. I don’t even know how else to say it. These prawns were massive, super crispy, and perfectly coated with that irresistible cereal mixture—sweet, savory, buttery, and crunchy all at once. Each bite had this addictively satisfying texture, and the cereal itself was so good I could’ve eaten a bowl of just that. It was comfort food with a punch of indulgence, and I loved every bite.

Every dish arrived promptly, hot, and plated beautifully. The balance of flavors across the meal was a showcase of true culinary skill. You could tell that the kitchen takes great pride in what they serve. Even the drinks were lovely complements to the meal.

All in all, Central Thai completely exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was calming, the food was a knockout, and Lim Mei Wah provided the kind of service that you remember long after the meal is done. It's rare to have all these elements come together so harmoniously in a single dining experience—but somehow, Central Thai nailed it.

Whether you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just craving solid, high-quality Thai food with flawless service, this is the place to go. I’m already planning my next visit—and I know I’ll be ordering that pandan chicken again (and again).

Now here’s the icing on the cake—the prices were incredibly reasonable. For food of this quality, generous portions, and such a beautifully presented dining experience, I was genuinely surprised by how affordable everything was. It's rare to find a place that hits high marks in taste, service, and value, but Central Thai absolutely delivered on all fronts. You walk away feeling full, satisfied, and like you truly got your money’s worth—and then some.

10/10 would recommend. 💯 Thank you, Central Thai, and a big thank you to Mei Wah —...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Central Thai in Singapore, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfectly capturing the essence of Thailand’s vibrant culture. The decor, with its elegant blend of traditional and contemporary Thai elements, sets the stage for a memorable meal. The menu at Central Thai is a culinary journey through Thailand, offering a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. Each dish we ordered was a testament to the chef's expertise and passion for authentic Thai cuisine. This time, we ordered the egg omelette, mayonnaise tiger prawns, and our favorite, the lemon steam seabass. The egg omelette was fluffy and golden, cooked to perfection with a delightful balance of flavors. It was simple yet incredibly satisfying, showcasing the chefs' skill in executing even the most classic dishes with finesse. Every bite was a comforting reminder of home-cooked Thai meals. The mayonnaise tiger prawns were a standout dish. The prawns were fresh and succulent, coated in a creamy mayonnaise sauce that was both tangy and rich. The dish was beautifully presented, and the prawns had a perfect texture, with the sauce complementing rather than overpowering their natural sweetness. However, the highlight of our dinner was undoubtedly the lemon steam seabass. This dish has always been a favorite of ours, consistently delicious since before COVID times. The seabass was impeccably cooked, tender and flavorful, with the tangy lemon sauce providing a refreshing contrast. The inclusion of coriander added a wonderful depth of flavor, enhancing the overall taste of the dish. It’s a perfect example of the restaurant’s ability to deliver outstanding seafood.Another pleasant surprise was the humble coffee. Well-brewed and of good quality, it was the perfect end to our meal, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. What truly stood out during our visit was the impeccable service. Karthik, our waiter, was exemplary in every way. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, ensuring that our dining experience was flawless. Karthik went above and beyond by helping us take a few group photos, capturing our joyous moments with a smile. His willingness to assist and his cheerful demeanor added a personal touch that made our visit even more special. In conclusion, Central Thai is a gem in Singapore’s culinary scene. Whether you are a Thai cuisine aficionado or a first-time visitor, you are in for an exceptional treat. Had a wonderful dinner at Central Thai @ Changi Airport Terminal 3, and I have to say — this place truly delivers when it comes to both flavour and value. The restaurant offers a buffet option that’s especially worth it if you’re dining in a group. While the popular 1-for-1 weekday afternoon deal wasn’t available when we visited, even paying full price for a weekend dinner still felt completely worth it for the quality and variety of dishes we got to enjoy.

The spread had an excellent mix of classic Thai dishes, all prepared fresh and bursting with flavour. The pineapple fried rice was fragrant and beautifully seasoned — a simple dish done really well. I especially loved the stir-fried beef with long beans and basil, which was rich, spicy, and had that perfect balance of sweet and savoury that Thai food is known for. The beef was tender, the vegetables crisp, and the sauce had just enough heat to keep things exciting.

The long bean stir-fry was another winner — flavourful and slightly smoky, with a satisfying crunch from the beans. The butter prawns were coated in a thick, creamy sauce that was rich yet addictive, while the eggplant and basil stir-fry stood out for its deep, earthy taste balanced by fresh herbs.

The steamed fish in soy sauce was a highlight of the meal — tender, fresh, and perfectly cooked, soaking up all the savoury-sweet flavours of the broth. And of course, no Thai feast feels complete without a comforting pot of clear tom yum soup — tangy, aromatic, and packed with prawns, mushrooms, and herbs that added brightness to the meal.

The staff were attentive and friendly, checking in often and clearing plates quickly so the table never felt cluttered. The service was efficient despite the weekend crowd, and the overall ambience was casual, comfortable, and family-friendly.

Whether you’re coming for a casual group meal or a weekend indulgence, Central Thai delivers both in taste and experience. The food is consistent, the portions generous, and the flavours authentically Thai. Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to — especially when that 1-for-1 deal comes...

Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to — especially when that 1-for-1 deal comes around again!
