Easy and enjoyable dinner experience with attentive and friendly staff, pleasant and relaxed ambience, and dishes that easily take your mind back to your most pleasant stay in Italy.
Excellently roasted, crispy but tender lechon, definitely flavorful.
DOP also carries highly rated French wines.
Serving only the freshest fruits and vegetables, these strawberries at DOP are no different and do not disappoint. Aromatic, soft, sweet, and bright red. Not your intensely sweet kind of dessert.
Red wine is from Sardinia. Very aromatic, rich and bold. It's perfect for any rainy night.
DOP mozzarella is one of the best - supple and refreshing, carrying that genuine aroma of wholesome cream. Their cold cuts impress with airy ribbon texture and incredible, distinct flavor. The salads always turn out to be a delight since the kitchen only uses the freshly plucked vegetables.
The sausages are grilled to present a rich, smoky flavor. These sausages and lentils make a very pleasant combination. This is easily anyone's comfort food.
Brussels sprouts are perfectly cooked. This grilled octopus is tender, it was as if it was baked; succulent, with a crispy outside, making it a very comforting dish.
Easy pistachio crepe-cake bite pleasantly ends the course. Simple...
Read moregood intentions, poor performance. I was excited to try this restaurant. I arrived and the place was not too busy. But the owner stood behind the bar...never came by to say hello, never inquired about the guest experience or the food. This is not unusual in Singapore but does not explain the reviews describing him as friendly. An owner that cares about his business should strive to get feedback from his customers. The service was ok and average. One friendly server and another blank faced and indifferent. Hey, you should ask the customer if the food is OK (again this indifference is commonplace in Singapore). The food was not cooked well. I think the intentions are good but the cook is not very good. Does not know how to balance flavor. Pasta was soooo salty it could not be eaten. Parmigiana OK but again very salty and greasy. "Carpaccio" small amount of meat bland and at the same time a too strong overpowering truffle oil. Not very good. The young man working there was kind enough to remove the pasta charge (which was inedible). But I recommend you inquire about this after delivering a dish. No apologies from the owner who stood there indifferent. Much potential but poor execution...
Read moreGreat place for your fix of cheese. Located in Robertson Quay's Quayside, this place fits right in with all the other bars and eatery in the same complex. Had the Cheese Porcini Mushrooms and the (big chunk of young mozzarella) build-your-own antipasti with the Burrata and cured ham. The mushrooms were an after thought as the large piece of grilled cheese under the mushroom was the star of the show. Very chewy and well seasoned. The antipasti dish with the Burrata was generously portioned, so much so that our waiter recommended we only order one to share. I'd say one person can finish it alone, but then there won't be room for other dishes. Burrata was fresh and went great with the cured ham and spinach. Since we did not order the second antipasti and we were generally full after, the meal was unexpectedly low priced when all things considered. I still prefer the Burrata at Bistecca a bit more, but theirs is about twice the price so it may not be an apt comparison. Staff was friendly and attentive, atmosphere was very fitting, trendy, and warm. Will come back here again to try other dishes. I highly...
