Horrible experience in Dallas Marina Bay!! Be aware of the manager/owner. Although I want to emphasize that the girls as waitresses were special; but really disappointed with the experience thanks to the manager and his poor management of the new year event. Yesterday I attended with my family to spend a special evening and receive New Yearโs Eve; we arrive early as we tend to stay for long time in the place.
However; it was the norm to increase the consumption rate 50 dollars per person every three hours not informing the clients but until 10 minutes before the time ends. We asume this was in order to send people off their tables quickly and occupy them with new clients (we saw the disgust of several clients for the short notice of this as well, not only us). So it was wether you pay more or leave right away. Also; they would tell you only about the next three hours; not that they would be doing this all night.
They seek to do business without considering or valuing established customers.
At the end of the night; after spending about 5 hours consuming inside the restaurant. They informed us that for the new years; we must consume an extra 100 dollars per person apart from everything we have spent to be able to stay or else we must pay quickly to empty the table because other people were waiting.
I repeat; all this was without informing us beforehand that they would do this.
It is unfortunate; reallyโฆ Dallas Marina Bay was one of our favorite gathering places.
Seeing such a miserable attitude towards money and their customers really let us down. The problem is not that they charge you more; The problem is that they charge you a new rate 10 minutes before the time with an advantageous attitude to get you up from the table.
Food; normal. Expensive; Nothing special really.just like the drinks. at least on this occasion.
At first it was its people and quality of service that we valued so much. I'm honestly so sorry I went to this place with my family. These family moments are unique. They cannot be invested in places where they do not consider their customers. Please think twice before attending to this place. Being treated like this is...
ย ย ย Read moreI wish I could give ZERO stars. Especially to: Staff Issac and Key.
It was the most terrible experience. I called the restaurant to inform that I will be slightly late. When I arrived, I met a staff, Issac at the back door. He said we could only get into the restaurant by exiting the mall and enter from the front. I told him we have a reservation. He said that was the only way to enter. I have an elderly with me then. We followed his instructions and went out the mala nd re-enter again from the main restaurant entrance. Next, I met another staff named, Key. She said now I have to walked out of their restaurant and back into the mall as my table was behind the back door and she refused to allow us to use that unlocked glass door to our assigned table. I even told her we did not check out the mall as we told the mall staff we are going to a restaurant. She even scolded me that she did mentioned to me that my table is in the mall along the walk way. However, from my car phone conversation heard by my family, Key only mentioned that the table was along walkway and not sunny. I have never been to this restaurant before by the way. I have the worst experience in MBS. I have the elite membership of MBS and I have been patronizing different boutiques and restaurants. The attitude of Issac and Key was extremely unprofessional and rude. It was very dishonest of Key to lie that she told me about the table being inside the mall. It was also outrageously careless of Issac to not check out reservation when we told him. To me, they have uttered nothing but lies and non-sensical excuses. This is the worst restaurant experience I had in MBS. They have totally tarnished the reputation of the restaurant and MBS. Complete disgrace. I do hope the management can look into this incident seriously and proceed with the necessary rectification. Such a 100% disappointment at...
ย ย ย Read more05 July was my son birthday. Since it falls on a NDP rehearsal day, I thought of giving him a more memorable celebration, under the dazzling fireworks. All the restaurants and cafes with open view were fully booked, only Dallas didn't allow reservation, only walk in. You would have imagined that the queue was long. We were impressed by Dallas' team of service crews.
Firstly, we are a family of 6, in order to speed up so that we're in time to catch the fireworks, I told the crew that it is fine to separate us into 2 tables. He was able to quickly arrange a table to seat all 6 of us together.
Secondly, after ordering the mains, I ordered a brownie for my son as there was no other cake available. The crew who took our order, Lou, whispered to ask if we were celebrating any occasion. She told us that the brownie will be on the house upon hearing that it was my son's birthday. This wasn't all, once we finished our mains, without prompting, Lou and another crew surprised us with the brownie with a candle lighted and both of them singing birthday song. Lou also offered to take photos for us, not only 1 shots, but 10 of them, including a closed up shot of my son and I. I was overwhelmed by Lou's thoughtfulness when she showed me the closed up shot of 2 of us. Honestly, I've not thought of taking the individual shot.
Thirdly, the food was served fast, probably ~10min, and the portion was generous, the roasted chicken quesadillas were filled with chicken. The fish and chips was served with 3 good sizes of battered fish slices and large portion of fries and salad. The pizza crust was thin and crispy. The buttermilk chicken burger was large.
We are glad to have celebrated our son's birthday at Dallas, and we will definitely return for other occasions.
Thanks Dallas, Lou and...
