Customer service on WhatsApp is not friendly and provided wrong information. Background: I was on their website on 27 Dec 2022 (01:18AM) 0118hours and I saw that their early bird pricing has already ended on 26 Dec. Hence, whatever price I saw, I expected that to be AFTER the early bird pricing has ended. I took a screenshot of the pricing in my shopping cart and WhatsApped their customer service to ask if I do a walk in, will the price still be the same? Gotten a reply: “Our walk-in prices are the same as our website” With this reply, the price shown should be the same as walk in since there are no clarification from the customer service. When we were there, I notice most of the pricing are $4-$5 more per bottle. We bought 6 bottles so basically it’s $25 more spent. Hence when I WhatsApp again to question why walk in different pricing, customer service say she changed the pricing on 27 Dec 5AM, so basically because of their decision to change at 5AM on 27 Dec instead of 26 Dec 2359…. And did not clarify even on 28 Dec, I went down instead of buying online to get the free delivery 😒 with the price increment I would have gotten free delivery. One more wrong information given is “payment can be made via “Credit/Debit card, Paynow, Cash, Nets. For walk-in purchases” but at physics store, credit/debit card is not accepted. For taste wise, it’s alright. Nothing wow or if it’s retailing at their “usual price @$40+” then I would suggest not to buy and give it a miss. Pineapple tarts has 23 pieces, refer to the photo where they stuffed the plastic bubble wrap instead of putting one more tart, so stingy 🤷🏻‍♀️ Kueh bangkit melt in the mouth version does NOT melt in the mouth. And it taste very average just like any other kueh bangkit. The butter cookies /opened pineapple tarts are also average tasting. Have not tested the almond cookies but starting to have low/no expectations since their “award winning tarts” are meh. Friends suggested to try Mdm Ling or other home bakeries.

1. Customer service - Extremely bad customer service. Selected 2-6pm delivery slot but the tarts only arrived at about 7.55pm. Guess they forgot about my order as delivery duo told me they are the 2nd delivery call up as they were only told to pick up the order late. Ding must have only remembered my order when I texted them to ask about when my delivery would be at 5.30pm. Delivery duo were extremely apologetic when I told them I had plans to deliver the tarts to relatives but couldn’t due to the extremely late delivery. Delivery duo had better customer service than Ding Bakery. Aside from telling me they couldn’t promise delivery during the selected time slot, the other queries over WhatsApp were greeted with non-responses. 2. Quality of Pineapple Tarts - Some of the tarts delivered had broken into pieces. The taste is mediocre. This affirms my suspicion that all the good reviews are “bought” with the $5 reward they email to buyers to ask for review after purchase. The influencers’ good reviews are definitely also sponsored reviews. There are MUCH MUCH MUCH better pineapple tarts in Singapore. Better to patronise the small bakeries than Ding. Do note that their pineapple tarts are made in Malaysia so you are likely paying 3.5x the price you would have paid for if you bought the same in Malaysia. I decided I would spend some time writing a long and detailed review in hope that people won’t be deceived and pay to suffer anxiety and distress. In summary, I would never buy anything from Ding Bakery ever again.

I was a bit disappointed with my order of CNY cookies from Ding Bakery. The taste didn’t feel premium or special, and I’m unsure where the "award-winning" claim comes from in their product description. I ordered 3 jars (total $71.61 w. delivery + GST) 1. Melt-in-your-mouth Pineapple Tarts These tasted very ordinary—there was no rich buttery flavor, and the sweetness of the pineapple jam felt off, almost sour. Honestly, this was the weakest pineapple tart I've ever had, and it tasted more like something you'd get from a neighborhood HDB bakery. 2. Melt-in-your-mouth Green Pea Cookies These weren’t bad, but again, nothing special. Most green pea cookies are either melt-in-your-mouth or slightly crunchy, so they didn't stand out much. 3. Premium Cashew Nut Cookies I honestly don't know where the "premium" part comes in. I believe an ordinary home baker could do a better job. The flavor was mildly sweet, but there was no real cashew taste to speak of. Overall, I didn’t find these cookies to live up to the premium or award-winning reputation they seemed to promise.
