Everton Creamery — Restaurant in Singapore

Chanced upon this gelato place and decided to give it shot. We ordered 3 scoops, durian, yakult soju and pistachio. Total was around 15 dollars, which I would say for 3 scoops of ice cream is quite pricey.

Durian Her 5 Him 4 The durian was good! It has a strong thick aroma, which was really able bring out the taste of the durian. Apart from the basic single scoop charge, there is an additional charge of 1.7. For this premium price, we would have expected at least some form of durian pulps inside but it was just a normal durian gelato.

Yakult soju Her 3 Him 1 The yakult soju was a no go us. It was too sweet to the point that we had to constantly hydrate as it was drying out our mouths. Furthermore, there were hints of soju but it was not prominent at all. Would have expected at least a little punch but all that was coating our tastebuds were piles of sugar.

Pistachio Her 5 Him 5 The pistachio was very well done. Could taste the strong nutty roasted pistachio. No nut bits were inside but the flavour and texture was exceeding standards.

Overall, would come back for other flavours as they have quite a wide selection. Other reviews have also shown other flavours that were not present when we were there. So I am guessing they change and make new flavours each time. However, I would also like to put a disclaimer for their range of sweet gelatos as their standard of sweetness is definitely higher than normal, based on our experience and previous reviews. Mark my words, Everton Creamery (Tai Seng) will close down within 1-1.5 year. I can feel not a little passion from owner/staff from taking care of their business. Visited them today and saw thru grab app, they joined the campaign of getting 10% off if pay by grabpay, but after we ordered, we were told by the owner that using grabpay is not allowed here (so what’s the point of them joining grab campaign but dont allow customer to use grabpay?).

2nd, we found a small plastic inside our matcha ice cream (see photo attached). Looks like its the plastic tip of their ice cream mixture. It is so dangerous if we were to consume it! This showed how careless and uninterested the staff here were.

3rd, nobody is really interested to serve here. Staff/owner will use the phone, only until u call them over then they come to serve. Just note that No samples allowed. Premium pricing, matcha ice cream tasted weird + a plastic part is found inside, and there is nothing worth to wow about.

Stay away. There are too many other ice cream cafe...

1st time at the shop n it will be my last. never tasted zesty cucumber flavour before and asked to try. the staff rudely said no, as if I am a beggar making a ridiculous request. have been to creameries locally n abroad; u can always try a little before choosing the flavours. as my aching feet needs a rest, so I ordered zesty cucumber n rum n raisin. the whole process from ordering to payment felt like u are imposing on the staff.
