Happy Thai Food - Sembawang — Restaurant in Singapore

I wish I had nicer things to say, but my family and I had a disappointing experience at the Sembawang outlet. The customer service was very poor.

I ordered 3 green milk teas, and they were served with normal straws. Since I noticed the heart-shaped straws displayed on the counter, I went to take 3 for my drinks. The waitress stopped me and said, “you cannot come here touch my things.” She then removed the heart-shaped straws from the counter, swapped them with the normal ones, and only very reluctantly gave me 3 straws. It was so rude like you don’t serve these straws!!? It’s just straws though & they are free on display at the counter so i don’t understand the stinginess.

On top of that, while we were still ordering, the same waitress walked away midway to attend to another customer without saying excuse me or giving any explanation. This was especially frustrating as there were only 2 other couples dining, while we had a group of 6.

The food was average with rather small portions. The Thai green milk tea was extremely diluted mostly ice and very little concentrate tasting more like watered-down milk. Overall, the poor service really...

Have been patronising them since the start when they took over the previous Thai food place, but today’s food was really just full of disappointment. Pretty sure the chef and the recipe have changed. Our favourite Moo Ping dish was the most disappointing, texture was rubbery and wasn’t cooked fully. Veggies used were kinda old and stale tasting. Other dishes we’ve ordered were either overly salty or ironically bland. We all had diarrhoea couple hours later and we didn’t eat any other food apart from theirs. They should either change their chef/ tweak the recipe back to the original one if the recipe was changed. Hygiene as well as service standards could be better. We will definitely take a break from them for now and maybe patronise again in the near future when we’re feeling brave. Overall, with the standards dropping, we wouldn’t recommend to patronise them...

Very impressed, good Thai food (I am an ang moh who used to live in Thailand for a few years for work)

You can hear all staff speaking Thai - so that’s always a good sign.

Som Tum Thai - amazing. So were the wings. Deep fried fish - wow (just wish the 5 was less sweet). Good deals of Singha buckets

I need to go back and try the tom yum - that will make or break the number of stars
