The latest ice cream cafe in this area after two other longtime ice cream shops shut down towards the end of last year. As such, it was no wonder that there were so many people on a Friday night - pent-up demand perhaps? You might want to avoid peak hours to ensure that you can get a table.
Got the pandan mochi waffle which was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside and the pandan aroma was quite noticeable. I was initially a bit worried that the waffle might turn out soft and soggy because of the mochi but thankfully, it was as I liked it.
The pistachio gelato and coconut sorbet were underwhelming for me though. I usually prefer to have the original flavour of the ingredients to come across more strongly than the dairy taste of ice cream so these two flavours were considerably bland to me. I guess it's a personal preference thing because some reviews I read had a different take on the taste of the ice cream. Or maybe it's supposed to be smooth and creamy as per the shop's name?
And the presentation also left me wondering - having the two scoops in such a precarious position made the whole dish look quite odd and difficult to eat.
Another noteworthy thing is, they serve water to those dining in which is great to get the sweetness off the palate. Then again, considering that they also sell drinks here, I couldn't help but wonder if customers would be less likely to order the drinks on the menu since there's free water.
Service was quite quick and attentive despite the crowds. Price is a tad on the high side in the heartlands with $17 for a waffle and two scoops of gelato so it might not be something which people would go...

Easily one of the best ice cream places in SG.
*able to sample ice cream flavours and every sample offered with a smile and without judgement 🥹 sometimes u just want to make the best choice of ice cream flavours that make your money worth... and they serve u FREE water with your purchase (hard to come by in this economy), love the water cause it helps cleanse your palate
if this isnt respectful and warm service idk what is
Their ice cream speaks for itself - creamy yet not too heavy, great flavours (big love for their hojicha mochi, honey chrysanthemum, and ube)
Their waffles are amazing... the coconut pandan mochi waffle is perfection - crispy and light, definitely chewy
Their food is already great... but with this kind of service... you just feel like every cent is worth your experience at this place.. Really felt like this place defined "ice cream shop" well - to be able to experience joy and comfort with fellow loved ones from the food...
Read moreI recently visited Hundred Acre Creamery Tampines, and I have to say that it was one of the best gelato experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the different flavors and ingredients, and they even let me sample a few before I made my final selection.
And speaking of flavors, the gelato itself was absolutely delicious. Each scoop was so creamy and flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweetness and richness. What I really appreciated was the wide variety of flavors available - from classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla to more unique options like black sesame and lychee sorbet.
But what really stood out to me about Hundred Acre Creamery was the outstanding customer service. Despite the long queue, the staff worked efficiently and with a smile on their faces, making sure that each customer felt valued and appreciated. It was clear that they take great pride in their work and truly care about their customers' satisfaction.
Overall, I can't recommend Hundred Acre Creamery enough. The delicious gelato and exceptional customer service make for a truly memorable experience. If you're a gelato lover, be sure to add this shop...
