I was greeted by the retro looking menu upon arrival at the stall. The stall is managed by 2 elderly uncles and a aunty assistant. Overall the stall has a bit of a old school/retro feel. The food that they serve are typical Hainanese styled western food.
I ordered the chicken chop which costs $6.50. What was served to me was a fairly small piece of chicken which was perfectly grilled. The skin of the skin was nice and crispy and the meat itself was rather juicy. A thin lawyer of sweet garlic sauce (presumably, based on the smell) was coated over the grilled chicken meat.
The chicken chop was accompanied thick cut fries, baked beans, a few slices of cucumbers and 2 small pieces of slightly buttered white bread (which are nothing more than just fillers). I would replace the bread with coleslaw if it was available as I personally prefer my meal to be more balanced.
The meal was delicious and I enjoyed every bite of it. I would have rated this meal 5/5 stars if the chicken chop was slightly bigger and more options...

They are thick jagged fries, better than MCD’s fries as they stayed super crispy even after an hour or so. The pork chop was ok and tender the first few bites, but soon we started to get tired of it as there was a vinegary taste to it, probably due to Worcester sauce. Didn't like it. Baked beans according to Mum are not nice. The bread and butter was a weird but no less comforting and nostalgic addition to the meal, though it would be great if they toasted it. No complaints though, happy with the large portion of fries they gave...
Read moreOld school hawker-style Western food! Ordered the chicken chop. Chicken was well-marinated, juicy and tender. Came with baked beans, cucumber slices, chunky fries, and a margarine sandwich. Would definitely come back :)
To one of the reviews below from Junie Seow that asked who on earth serves baked beans with western food: all the traditional hawker-style Western food stalls I've had while growing up served baked beans! They are hard to find these days. If you're at least in your 20s and grew up in SG before all those modern chain Western stalls took over you'll definitely...
