Ice-Cold Beer — Restaurant in Singapore

Love them for their beers.. I mean, Tsingtao on tap! Young male Chinese waiter is great BUT, and here come the BUT… they claim to be a place that offers a dine in experience. We ordered a couple of dishes to share and when it came, we asked for side plates. The answer from the female waitress, we don’t have… as she hurried away. I had to point to the small plate in which the food was served to ask for that and the reply again was, we don’t have. Asked for the manager who came over with 2 wooden bowls that didn’t seem washed or clean. When I told him I just wanted 2 small plates like the kind they served the food on, he said - we are not a restaurant… ok, I thought you were, given the sign saying you offer a “dine in experience”… he then said that they have 3 restaurants and share plates across all 3 restaurants so there weren’t enough plates. Told him we would not be eating then and he could remove the food. Suddenly he offered to check with the kitchen if they had plates that could be spared and appeared with 2 side plates! All very bizarre! If you’re going to offer a dine in experience then side plates are NOT too...

It's a great place to catch up with friends and colleagues over snacks and drinks.

The atmosphere is good and the place is packed during peak hours especially now with limited seating .

They have a limited food menu although the beer and drinks menu is vast.

Visitors usually look for promos as they are fairly priced.

Their Signature Chicken Wings have always had rave reviews and I have enjoyed them in the past. The No 5 pizza is good too and of yes the Mini Burgers. The menu is good enough for an informal dinner / catch up with friends.

The noise levels climb several notches higher when crowded which is understandable and therefore it maybe difficult to have a meaningful conversation 😅.

Still it's a fantastic place, though lately there have been reviewers mentioning that service levels by staff have dropped and this could surely be an area where the management could work on.

And before i forget their unique system of chilling beers by stuffing the beer bottles in-between ice 🌟

JASON YAP ID:1289 is the most unprofessional and hostile service staff I have encountered in my 40 years of living . He gave aggressive looks and left rude and unjust remarks when we questioned about the bill. Bare in mind the bill was WRONG and we were charged wrongfully. We tried to resolve the situation rationally and peacefully but jason kept insisting that we pay the full WRONG amount. He only came to us to try to press us to pay the bill even without serving us anytime throughout the night. On the other hand JONATHAN TANG was a patient, helpful and efficient staff, helping us settle our problems and going above and beyond to make our night worth while. I personally think the public should reconsider visiting this establishment as long as JASON YAP is working . He truly is difficult to work with and I that could rectify their severe lack of judgment in HR. I really did enjoy my time here till JASON YAP came into the picture and I hope something will be...
