I was here during a promotion. Queues were extremely long but moved quickly. I waited about an hour to get a seat. Service was fuss free, quick and efficient. Staff were courteous and helpful. Credit card payment and CapitaMall vouchers are accepted. I ordered the bonito tonkotsu special ramen, which comes with 4 pieces of char siew, 3 pieces of seaweed and 1 egg, on top of their base ramen serving with bamboo shoots, spring onion, leek, fried garlic bits and yuzu kosho. I requested for noodles prepared with medium hardness. The special costs $8 more. I got my order in 5 minutes. Portions of soup, noodles, meats and vegetables are decent. The bonito fish soup was incredibly rich and flavourful. I didn't find it salty, nor was it too oily. The noodles are well cooked, with the bonito soup stock seeping into the noodles. The texture however was average, and it could be more springy. The char siew was average in texture and taste. It is soft, but salty and lacked oomph. The egg though specially prepared was a tad overcooked. I could suck the yolk and some egg whites. They were soft, but average in taste and quality at best compared to similar ramen chains. Their vegetables are fine but likewise average. In short, if there isn't a promotion, save the $8 and just get their basic tonkotsu noodles. I feel it's not worth the premium. Prices aren't cheap, and they aren't the best, but if you crave for ramen, it's decent. Ippudo is convenient and has many more outlets than its competitors. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at Ippudo. There's better ramen at this price point.

This place was popular, so we had to come way before the lunch/dinner crowds came. I ordered the Bonito Tonkotsu special. It's not actually a "limited time special" dish, it's sort of a "opt for more tonkotsu" meaning. Broth was not too salty, the tonkotsu was really delicious, the seaweed was about as good as most restaurants, and the noodle portion was generous. The thing about this restaurant is that it allows you to customize your noodle hardness, something rare in most ramen restaurants in sg. It's quite good they have a menu that can be adjusted. We also ordered a KATSUO BAKKOSHI TAKOYAKI, which you can see in one of the photos and I can't describe it. One of the best takoyaki's I've ever eaten, and the bonito portion was very generous. Service was excellent. While we were queuing for a seat a staff came outside every 5-10 minutes to check on the no. of diners per group, which helped to reduce any conflict when we got our table. We were also given an option to sit the bar (due to the crowd)but we rejected it. Still, good service. Overall the visit was fantastic, but you should prepare some extra money since the food was pricey. Will definitely revisit. (Food mentioned cost around 35 SGD.) (I forgot to take a picture of the takoyaki, but I got a picture of it on the menu, so here's that instead)

Review based on limited Konbu Sui Tsukemen only. Firstly, they nailed the serving temperature. Noodles were cold, dipping soup hot. The noodles were mochi mochi, chewy, soft, soba-like even. There was faint umami while soaked in the cold kelp water, although I felt the wheat taste could be more refined. The lime gave the noodles zesty notes and cleanses the palate, providing much needed acidity. The dipping soup was seaweed sweet, savoury and very flavourful. Alone, it was drinkable without being overly salty and finishes on your tongue with a delicate shoyu base. Red onions dottered in the soup provided added crunch and freshness. The soup reminded me of Japan's Kamo Shiru Soba. The toppings were decently good, chashu marinated well, the shrimp wantons added a ginger flavour between bites. The egg, though pale, was marinated Ippudo-style, a little herby, not too salty. Overall, excellent. It strongly reminded me of my Kamo Shiru Soba experience in Japan, every element was perfect to me. They can improve it by providing a hot kelp water to dilute the dipping soup instead of me using the cold leftover kelp water from the noodles. I hope this could become a permanent menu item.

Food quality is good and the service quality is even better.

My family dined at Ippudo Sengkang Grand Mall outlet quite frequently, and we were always greeted warmly by Katherine. Katherine's warm personality made us feel really welcomed and wanted to dine there more. She made numerous efforts to check if we were satisfied with the dishes and if we needed more refills for the water. She is so good that even a young teenager noticed her excellence. It was, in fact, my eldest child who first told me about this exceptional Auntie Katherine. He used to dine there alone after school, and Katherine had helped him in one way or another, making sure he had always enjoyed his late lunch.

Suet Yee is another amazing staff. While she seems to have a slightly more quiet personality, that didn't hinder her from providing a great service. She too, never fails to greet us and is always quick to bring along a foldable box for us to put our bags in. She is observant and initiative too. Just yesterday, my family of 5 were seated at the long table. Space was slightly tight, and I was adjusting the placement of my chair so that I could give more space to my children on my right, without blocking the walking space of others. Suet Yee noticed and quickly pushed the divider on the long table further away, allowing my family to spaced out comfortably. I had always thought the divider on the table was fixed in position.

I hope this review reached the management and the said staff can be commended for...
