Come here for the first time, accompanying my family and my sister with her husband, along with their little one, first child their elder sister and the second baby child their younger sister and also their domestic helper together for communal dining, and had dinner to celebrate my dad for Father's Day in advance. I had tried this dish features what appears to be a generous serving of pasta (Aglio Olio with Chicken Steak), likely linguine or a similar flat noodle, tossed with some seasonings and what looks like sliced mushrooms, alongside the pasta is a piece of grilled meat, which from its texture and appearance, is most likely a chicken chop rather than lamb, given the context of "JINJJA KITCHEN" which is known for Korean-style fried chicken and other Korean dishes. There's also a dollop of reddish sauce, possibly a chili sauce, adding a vibrant color to the plate. A fork and spoon are resting on the dish, indicating it's ready to be eaten.
I might love this dish for several reasons:
Flavor Combination: The savory grilled chicken, potentially with a sweet or spicy glaze, would likely pair well with the comforting and subtly seasoned pasta.
Texture Contrast: The tender pasta provides a soft contrast to the possibly crispy skin and juicy meat of the chicken.
Heartiness: It looks like a substantial and satisfying meal, offering a good balance of carbohydrates and protein.
Umami from Mushrooms: If those are indeed mushrooms in the pasta, they would contribute a rich, earthy umami flavor.
Sauce Kick: The red sauce could add a tangy, sweet, or spicy kick that elevates the overall taste profile.
Familiar Comfort: Pasta and grilled chicken are widely enjoyed dishes, often evoking a sense of comfort and familiarity.
A bustling "JINJJA!! KITCHEN" restaurant, likely located Our Tampines Hub, within a mall and food court, given the visible mall infrastructure in the background. The restaurant's entrance features a distinctive orange and brown archway with its name prominently displayed.
Inside, there's a lively atmosphere with numerous patrons seated at tables, believe that they had dinner, enjoying their meals. Some are visible on the left side, where there are also interactive screens that could be digital menus or ordering stations. In the foreground on the right, a person is interacting with one of two self-order kiosks, which display food items. Another person is visible further inside, near what appears to be a counter or kitchen area.
A large screen is mounted on the back wall of the restaurant, showing what looks like a video or advertisement. The overall decor combines modern elements with warm, earthy tones, creating an inviting dining...

To be fair, we only experienced it with one staff. She's probably the store manager since she was not in uniform, and was only wearing a black sleeveless top and cargo pants.
We've tried their outlet in Changi, and was treated well enough.
We are a family of 4, with my 2 kids (incoming Poly and Sec 4). We were their first customer and order last Sunday and did not make a fuss. We were there early, and waited for the store to open. This particular staff saw us, kept looking at her watch and shaking her head as if telling us that we were early. We weren't even demanding to be served and just looked at their menu. We left and went back less than 10 minutes before their opening hour.
We waited until 11am. My husband asked one of the staff if we can already order since they weren't "activating" their self order kiosk even if it was a few minutes after 11am and queue has started to pile up.
Going back to the un-uniformed staff, she went to most tables, greeted them with a smile and spoke to them. She did not even look at our table, and went past ours a couple of times.
It is probably because we are from a different ethnicity. Good thing we were in smart casual attire since we just came from a morning function hence we would have been...
Read moreBought rabboki, their classic wings, and alio olio jajang chicken. (And carbonara pizza...) Came on a Monday evening at 5.45pm to order. Waited 45mins and decided to check on the status of my food...
Carbonara pizza was still not done even after 45mins... hence decided to get a refund on the pizza. To my surprise, they allowed. (This also meant that my Carbonara pizza would probably take another 10 years to be made had I actually wait for it)
The rapoki was unexpectedly not bad but hiazz the chicken is soo dry. Honestly the worst jinjja outlet I have been.
Some feedback: First in first out. If u have food which u know will take longer to make... make them first Front staff please be less blur. My order was missing fries and drinks so I had to walk back again to retrieve those. If pizza takes longer to make, suggest to either put an eta in the menu or the staff shld let us that the wait for pizza might be longer. If the kitchen staff is unable to cope, I suggest to maybe get a more competent kitchen/ floor manager as it seems overall they couldn't cope with the dinner crowd. (But I was there before the crowd even came so idk what...
