Staffs could be more flexible in admitting patrons to the dining area. Waiting zone (in the open space carpark) was over crowded with more than 10 elders standing around without a seat. Staffs could admit table by table instead of waiting for other tables to be ready before admitting all the customers. Staffs could also be more attentive when serving the food. e.g. Baby lamb rack was served without fork and knife; we had to request for them. Desserts were served halfway with a few guests waiting to no avail and changed to take away in the end. Cod Fish Wok Fried with Chef’s Special Spicy Sauce and Peach resin were bad. Cod Fish was oily and not fresh. Peach Resin was way too sweet even for the sweet tooth. Other than the above, all other dishes were well done. General service was also acceptable. Disappointment resulted in the gap between my expectation from past experiences at Jumbo and what was received this round. I would still host family and friends at Jumbo Seafood - Dempsey Hill.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jumbo Seafood at Dempsey Hill with my whole family, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and perfect for a family gathering. The food was absolutely delicious. Each dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The seafood was fresh, and the dishes were well-presented. The chili crab, in particular, was a highlight—rich, spicy, and incredibly satisfying. Our experience was made even better by Cindy, our waitress. She was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Cindy's warm demeanor and excellent service added a special touch to our meal, making it even more memorable. Overall, Jumbo Seafood at Dempsey Hill offers not just great food but also an outstanding dining experience, thanks in large part to their dedicated staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in Singapore

Food mediocre, portions not big We were told we need to leave by 7.30pm before we were seated. That works out to 2 hours for dinner which should be ok but good to note they seem to be rather strict with this. We had the set meal which consists of few dishes, most dishes were split into 4 portions for before they were served. Seafood donut tossed in salad cream. Unfortunately the cream was overpowering and jerlak. The "donut" was meaty and soft and I thought it would be better if it was served hot and crispy. Scallop wrap in yam ring. Yam flavour overpowered the fresh Scallop. I recommend to dissect and eat them separately. King Prawn stir fried with garlic and glazed soya. The prawn was fresh and easy to peel. The glazed soya sauce was sweet and salty. Cod fish steamed with preserved radish and seasonal vegetables. The fish was split into 4 portions and served on a base layer of steamed Tofu. I felt the chef had a great idea but wasn't executed properly, most of the fish was on one side of the plate leaving other side rather empty. Could have been impressive if executed properly. Next is the famous chilli crab. The sauce was spicy but something amiss with the favour. For some reason the crab meat stuck onto shell which made it a struggle to eat. There are better chilli crabs in Singapore There was a fried rice with the set meal but its forgettable Last but not least the mango pudding which I have to say is the star of dinner. Thick like puree with strong mango flavour made me craving for more.

Its been years since we decided to treat ourselves at Jumbo Seafood, and this time we chose the Dempsey outlet to spend our country 59th birthday. Unfortunately as rain poured on our parade square, the disappointment must have affected the Jumbo staff tremendously as they decided to: 1) Mix crab shells in their salted egg prawn, which led me to bite into a shell and hurting my tongue. Honestly, I still think that prawns should not have crab shells? 2) Ignored customer feedback in the first instance. Had to complain again before the manager gave me reasons why there are shells in the prawns, but it still baffles me as to how that helps 3) Forgot order, minor mistake of forgetting warm water 4) Staff poured tea on the table, minor mistake that she covered with a pink cloth I had always put Jumbo on a pedestal and looked at it as a place to reward myself or celebrate events. Unfortunately, it is not so dont bother and just enjoy a disappointing meal anytime! *pictures attached are the crab shells found in the prawn*

Packed restaurant during lunch hours but luckily we made reservation and they still hold our seats despite being late due to traffic. Ordered Award Winning Chilli Mud Crab about 800g along with Fried Mini Bun for dipping, Stir Fried Aussie Lobsters with Pepper and Spiced Salt about 1.2kg and a small Deshelled Prawns Fried with Golden Salted Egg. Loving the chilli and fleshy crab. The taste is guaranteed for sure. The Aussie Lobsters however a little dense although it tasted good because I loved Pepper Salt flavoured food. Suggest you get a steamed one instead so that you get the real flavour out. Depends on individual preference. As for the Prawns Fried, it was definitely good with fresh prawns bedded with crackers below. Have it while its hot. Also their Mini Bun for dipping in Chilli Crab sauce, it remained fluffy, pillowy on the inside even after awhile when served. The above are enough to feed 2 paxs.

I've been here multiple times, and the food was always good. I even have a few remarks to make. Firstly, the crab size is very, and I mean very, varied. Some days they only have 800g-1kg crabs, then all of a sudden one day they start offering you 1.5 kilo monsters from the deep. Is the size of the crab available to your party determined by the size of the party or is it about availability? That is one question I would like to ask. I would have given 5 stars but I had to take away one star due to the bland salted egg yolk prawns. Apparently they are award-winning but honestly I feel that the salted egg yolk coating is just there to mask the blandness of the prawns. But other than that, it's honestly the best Jumbo anywhere other than the flagship shop in East Coast!! Yes, the Dempsey Jumbo is neck and neck with the flagship East Coast Jumbo!!
