It's been more than a year since we missed the food, so we came back again on the last week of Feb 2025 to take their kale soup that you will never get tired of it. After seeing the menu, although there were not many changes, the manager recommended 2 kinds of new dishes, not in the menu.
Wasabi with yellow fungus plus fresh bamboo. Presentation looked artistic, soft like jelly for fungus, the bamboo tasted good from matching sauce but price too ex for the size but worth the taste.
Boiling oyster mushroom with spinach. The mushroom really looked like meat and feeling impressive that tasted smoother than "abalone"
The 3rd dish, we chose from new menu that haven't tried before, fresh mountain chinese yam with cheese. Crispy skin wraps outside but too mushy for the inside, filling with chinese yam that made into paste. Our taste buds preference is... if the chinese yam can be cut into small cubes, maybe the texture will it be much better?
We used to come back here again every twice a month. We ordered Zha jiang mian again and requested more beet root as shown in the photo. This noodle you must try as noodles are chewy and you will come back again. We also loved their stir fried Woh Soon with truffle oil, together with special species crunchy white fungus (this Woh soon, translate from Chinese, the real name quite long and difficult to remember) and this time served in a nice edible bowl made of rice flour, I think. Looked presentable. You can compare my previous pic. ≈=======≈======== We came back again because of their great service when we always serve, like at home , on 1st wk of Oct 2023. Also need to use up the $25 voucher within a month which given during the last visit. It is a really good deal as you just need to spend over $50 to use this discount voucher. We love vegeterian and also their good service provider, so always come back for their fine cuisine!

We are back again and again because of the great customer service, especially staff Karen. Saw her, given a shawl to a customer that she felt cold, didn't know restaurant provide such warm caring service! Karen knew and sense I'm in a down mood during ordering food, so she suggested some cuisine to make us happy. I can say always visit Lingzhi and always happily go back home. Keep it up! Karen! Actually, we have been patronized by Lingzhi for many years when the outlet at Novena velocity.. Most of the dishes in their menu have already tasted.. So we requested any special dishes that are on the menu? Staff recommended a dish named Artemisia & Tremalla Fociformis with truffle oil. Besides this, we usually request either mushroom or kale soup to come with, but we ordered both as we loved their soup so much..

Read moreLet me share my experience on having ala cart buffet for lunch on Saturday. Don't get me wrong, the food was pretty good and there are plenty of variety.
However, the service & speed of serving food really dissapoints. 1. Upon arrival, was checking with their people with our reservation. Just only one sentence of our conversation, this guy just walked away and attended to other things. Another lady then came to check with us. Kind of rude here despite us being the customer. Asking us for QR code (they asked if we have reservation). We made reservation through their official website and the system they use for reservation was the chope application. There was only chope ID and no QR code. No further explanation here and got us confused. Once you enter the restaurant and they sit you down, the buffet starts countdown (90 minutes). They specifically mentioned you have to leave the table once the time is up. My family came for the first time and first thing they were treated was a feeling of chasing us away before we even sat down. Without asking, served us 2 plates of braised peanuts. We though it was complimentary. It cost us 3sgd for each plate upon payment. Last but not least, the speed is so slow. We sat down at 11am, ordered at around 11.15am, but served at after 11.35am. Subsequent orders were placed and at 12.05pm, we made our 2nd last order but it was fully served at 12.25 (with 1 dish missed out from them). Before they fully serve us the dishes we order, they even came to us to remind us that our time will be up in 5mins time. It got us furious that the food wasnt even served and we were mentioned to leave. The last dish we reminded the staff that is has yet to serve to 2 different waiters, both of them said to chase the kitchen staff but yet no updates.
I do understand it is lunch time (peak hours) & also it is a weekend, but what I observe here was their people kept sitting down the customers and taking orders, but not servicing the people & answering enquiries.
Throughout our whole lunch experience, though we did not made any situation difficult for them, this is my second visit although its past 1 year seems like same unpleasant experience is still present in this restaurant. It will be hard for me to patronize any more to here.
In summary (overall experience): Extremely good food, every dish hold up to its standard except for some that falls below our expectation. Easy parking and accessibility.

Read moreOn 30 April 2022, my family and I visited Ling Zhi at Liat Towers for the ala carte lunch buffet. We made prior reservation for 6 pax at 11am and the restaurant opened their doors to welcome us at 11am sharp. Within the first two minutes, we were met with the most heartwarming service. What happened was that another customer tried to cut our queue but Ms Hai Yan who was managing the queue was so quick to notice and politely explained that we came first. That was already a good start to our meal. We were quickly brought to our seat and Hai Yan patiently explained how to go about ordering with our phones. She also kindly advised to order ten dishes at a time to prevent over ordering resulting in food wastage charges. Subsequently, the food were served at a good pace with very prompt service staff around. Half an hour into the meal, the restaurant was already more than 60% filled and it was very busy. But I really want to praise the staff for having such good attitude and for keeping up the smiles despite having many requests from different tables. Jason was quick to keep any empty plates and our tables were kept organized at all times. He was polite and attended to all our requests promptly. Zhou Yan served us our dishes quickly and always made sure to warn us that something hot is coming from the back. That was very nice and careful of her. Karen moves really quickly as well to make sure our food is served as soon as possible. In fact, both Karen and Zhou Yan always made sure and checked back that we have been served what we asked for. They were both so kind and polite to my family. Highlight of the day was when I asked if there are special arrangements for customers celebrating birthdays, Hai Yan went to get the chefs to prepare complimentary longevity peach buns for my mother who’s the birthday girl. The buns were so soft, delicious, warm, fresh and they made sure to provide six buns so everyone had a serving. Hai Yan even made sure to clear our tables before serving the longevity peach buns so we could have a nice photo. She served us with new plates and new utensils even though this means more washing for the restaurant to do. To top it off, she offered to take a nice photo for us. The food was really good quality and the spread is amazing. But I just want to thank Hai Yan, Karen, Jason and Zhou Yan for your really good service.
