The worse prata place I have ever been. Waitress giving attitude the moment we were seated and asked if i wanted to order straightaway but walks away before I had a chance to answer. Ordered a couple pratas and maggie goreng. Maggie goreng came quickly within 15mins or so but prata took around 30-45 mins which is ridiculous considering it wasn’t peak hour with many empty tables(Around 11pm). Food was relatively good and have no complaints.
When we were done waitress just walks in and clears everything without saying a word but to be honest i don’t mind. When we paid finish and were walking off, we got called back and they told us the original payment didnt go through. So of course not wanting to make a fuss i quickly just paid as my friend who originally paid was walking home and did not know they called me back. Thankfully i saw that he had left the receipt of him paying in the basket at the counter so i quickly called him back to confirm that he had paid so that i could get a refund.
He came back and showed them the bank statement for the payment and the staff agreed that they had charged us twice. But when i asked for refund in cash so that it can be quickly settled, they refused as they said the accounts wont be balanced, frankly i have worked in fnb outlets before and know that the accounts can be balanced easily but after talking to them more, i realised they didn’t want to refund as they had to confirm with their boss first. So i asked them to call up their boss since it seems to be the only way that i can get a refund but they said they didnt want to as he is sleeping and they would get scolded. When i heard that i was shocked as they were too afraid of getting scolded for themselves making a mistake such that they would rather i wait 7days for them to get back to me on whether or not i could i get a refund. Hope nobody encounters these utterly useless staff again. Please dont come here if u looking for fast dabao or good service cus u wont find either. You're better off eating the macdonalds...
Read moreThe food and drinks were delicious. However, my friend and I ordered only 1 main course and got served 2. We told them we didn't order the second item and they just left the plate on our table. I called the server over and she told me to just eat it. Cautious, my friend and I pushed it aside as we were afraid we needed to pay for that extra order. When we went to get the bill, we brought the extra order along to return it to them. If they decided that it was unhygienic, we were more than happy to takeaway. They took the extra order to the back but didn't tell us anything. When the bill was printed out, we got charged the extra order. I asked the man why we were charged for the extra order when we did not order it. Moreover, we informed the server that it was not our order and she told us to just accept it. Due to the language barrier, it was hard to make them understand where we were coming from and they soon started talking among themselves in Tamil. We just wanted to pay for what we ordered and leave as it was already quite late. He told us that we should returned the item earlier and I explained that we did try, we called the server over twice. The guy manning the counter was visibly angry and threw the bill on the table and walked to the kitchen. I didn't understand what was going on and stood there with my friend. He then came out of the kitchen to gave us the extra order in a takeaway box and asked us to pay for the bill. I told him that he threw the bill on the counter and I am not able to reach it as it was inside. He kept saying he didn't throw the bill but went to look for it at the counter. He found it, came back and told us to pay. He edited the amount so that we paid for only the items we ordered. The whole fiasco took about 10 minutes. This wouldn't have happened if they took the extra order away at the start but the server told us to...
Read moreI was there at about 12.45am on the 22nd May. I am staying at the Tanaga area and it was by chance when I drove by one night that I noticed a resturant was open in a corner and decided to find a day to pay a visit. To start, theres practically no customer service at all, other than bringing of the food I ordered initially to my table. The servers were all standing around in the kitchen area chatting. I even have to go to the kitchen to ask for additional curry for my murtabak as I was unable to shout for service as I was seated quite far away. From the outlook, the restaurant look like its air-conditioned. But once you get seated inside and start to work on your food, you will start to sweat too. And to add, some of customers there I noticed were rather rowdy. There were 2 tables in particular. One table has a group of 5 locals and china nationals in total, talking loudly when they obviously have finished their food hours ago, with no food or drinks on the table. Another table has 4 young adults which from their accent I believe are Malaysians, all yelling and laughing loudly as they were playing mobile phone games together. Only 1 guy has a drink on the table. They were yelling so loud that at a point of time one has to stop eating and stare at them but of no avail. All these were happening as the 2 malay lady servers can still stand opposite each other and chatting away. No one bother even to go over the table to ask them to lower down their voices. Frankly, I find the restaurant ambience and setting is rather comfortable other then the heat and loud noises. I hope the restaurant will do something to improve in their customer service and ambience in the near...
