Taste does not justify the time wasted. We tried them twice, and decided never again.

On our first visit, we dined in. Long after my mother-in-law finished her food, my father-in-law’s dish was not yet served. Many tables have the same issue - partially eaten dishes, and people just staring at the kitchen for their remaining dishes to serve. Thought it might be because the restaurant was full so we gave it another try.

On our second visit, we dabao / take away. It took 1 hour from the time we ordered our food for us to receive all our dishes even when the restaurant was not full at all. When we first ordered, there were sooooo little people. 2 of our dishes were ready 20min into the wait, and the remaining dishes were only ready another 40min later. If you order takeaway, you will DEFINITELY receive cold dishes because of the way they serve the dishes. They cook dishes by dishes with no known order. People who ordered way after us already received their order. During the entire 1 hour wait, we also saw many other customers complaining for the same reason. Some of them look evidently bored at their seat with half-eaten dishes.

At this point, we were only annoyed, and not yet mad. What made us mad was that at about 50min of wait, as a normal human being, we went to the waitress serving the dishes from the kitchen to ask just how long more do we have to wait especially when half of our order were out there waiting to be completely cold. The waitress asked the lady inside the kitchen who directs the chef to cook dishes. The lady as usual said “about done”, and screamed loudly “tell them don’t stand here to block the way”. Huh? Block what way? The restaurant was only half full LOL don’t stand here then 傻傻地痴痴地在外面等 for another 1 hour?????? Horrendous customer service. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 for that, you are getting this lengthy google review

Btw, food is decent but not authentic. Does not justify the wait.

If you prefer eating different dishes separately (e.g. meat first and wait for your veg to serve, etc), then this might be the best place for you!

Also, if you plan to dine in, that place is hot...

I am writing to share my disappointing experience at your Plantation Plaza branch on 20/2/25 around 6 plus nearly 7pm.

My family and I ordered the following items: • Fried Kway Teow • Nasi Lemak • Chicken Cutlet Fried Rice • Iced Yuan Yang • Iced Coffee • Iced Milo

The Fried Kway Teow and drinks were served promptly, and we assumed the rice would follow soon, especially since the restaurant was not particularly crowded, though we did notice some GrabFood orders being prepared.

However, after waiting for nearly 25 minutes, the rice had still not arrived. We had to check with the staff, who then started asking around in the kitchen. Eventually, we were informed that the Nasi Lemak rice was not ready and would take another 5 minutes. I was quite frustrated that we were not informed earlier and had to follow up ourselves.

When the Chicken Cutlet Fried Rice was finally served, I immediately noticed that the chicken did not look right. Upon touching it, I realized it was cold and uncooked, raising serious concerns about food safety. I had to stop my son from eating it. At this point, we lost our appetite and patience and decided to cancel the remaining order.

I informed your staff that we would only pay for the food we consumed. While they apologized and offered a 10% discount, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.

We are regular customers at your Thomson Plaza branch and have never encountered such issues. We genuinely enjoy your food, but the service and food quality at the Plantation Plaza outlet fell far below expectations. This experience raises concerns about food safety and service efficiency, which I hope your management will...

I was there with my husband and 3yo son for dinner tonight. We placed our order successfully through the QR Code at 7:23PM and sat there waiting for our food to be served. During this period, I looked around the shop and noticed that it wasn’t very crowded and there’s even a few empty seats, and I also noted that some customers came in after us have also sat down on their table ordering their food. After some conversation with my husband, I noticed that other than our drinks, all our main and side dish was not serve yet. Time checked - it was already 7:52PM. I told my husband and we asked one of the staff (an auntie) on this and got her to check for us. But after checking with the kitchen, she did not even get back to us. My husband has to approach another staff and get her to check instead. It was then that we were told that our orders were not printed out by the kitchen staff. At this point we were already quite disappointed and upset, as our son has also been asking where is the food and that he was hungry. My husband then asked the staff if they could prepare the noodles first which was meant for my son, since it is getting late already. Finally our food is served. But another issue came upon as the noodles were so hard that it seems uncooked. We questioned the staff (the auntie) on this and were told that it was supposed to be like this. Both of us were really dumbfounded. It was when we further questioned the auntie then she told us that she can changed it for us!

This whole experience really gave us a rude shock and we highly doubt the staff’s working attitude and the...

Nice Malaysian local food at new Tengah plantation plaza. We tried their nasi lemak with fried chicken, ngoh hiang, fried. Penang kuay teow and prawn fried rice together with chendol. The Penang fried kuay teow comes with a drink as a set and the nasi lemak too. Rice in nasi lemak was v fragrant with good chilli. The Penang friend kway teow was not too oily and nicely fried. Even the fried rice was piping hot when it arrived. I did not like the chilli that came with ngoh hiang. It would be better if chendol was served later even though it came as a set. According to the lady who served us it needs to be given together. I find that strange and wonder if management can consider to change it. Most desserts are served after the main course...even if it comes in a set. This is unusual! The app made it difficult to find the set meals and I would suggest that they simplify the app. Luckily for us they were willing to take orders at the cashier and we were well served by one of the staff. Good service and good food. Do consider separating the set menu items to be more customer centric - desserts should be served after a meal. All in a good experience. That said, lotsa parking available but navigating out of the carpark is a real challenge! It is a maze!

IG: mattnotgloss This newly opened place offers a good variety of Malaysia cuisine and the price point is reasonable, which explains the long queue especially during weekends. The curry noodle was not the typical local curry, which could, at times, be very lemak. It was more similar to the kind cooked with evaporated milk, allowing it to be creamy and flavourful without being overpowering. The nasi lemak was an interesting one. The rice was not the usual fluffy basmati one would expect. Just imagine the rice to be a fusion between chicken rice and lemak rice. It is not a bad thing though. As I chewed on the grains, they released a nice aroma. The sambal, which was not overly spicy, elevated the dish with its spiced savory profile. The achar balanced out the greasiness, making the staple a rather wholesome one to have at any time of the day. Coffee was smooth and fragrant, and the usual sweetness would be just right for majority. The Shao pau was a disappointment though. The fillings lack fragrance and the dough, while flaky, was a little dry. Overall, this is a nice place conveniently located beside the MRT to satisfy your cravings for Malaysia delights.
