We went for the afternoon hi tea buffet which was a total of less than 50 per pax after gst and service charge.

The place was near to fort canning mrt and just a short walk across the traffic light. The place was 1/3 to half full when we arrived around 3pm (the start time).

One thing that really impressed me were the staff. They were sufficient staff, polite, efficient, and quick. Definitely not the place where you will be frustrated with slow staff. When I enquired about the status of a dish, they actually got back to me, unlike in some establishments when they will just tell u that they will notify the kitchen and then disappear.

Food wise, I like that you can order in small portions and can do a tasting style of eating. The food comes out relatively fast, unlike some buffets where you wait for half an hour. Some of their dishes take a longer time to prepare (or maybe they just have some cycle), so feel free to just order different items as u feel like it and they will serve whenever ready.

One thing I felt could be improved was the hotpot. My hotpot ingredients did not come all at once. The raw fish came at least 10 mins before the soup was even set up. And the tamago bomb for the hotpot came long after we finished our hotpot. I would suggest that for all hotpot orders, at least serve the soup first, and the last order for the side dish for hotpot should not be more than 5 mins away.

Overall the food was good. The sashimi is good. Blowtorched sushi also good. I enjoyed the taco wraps. The prawns definitely left me with a good impression (be it the Wasabi mayo prawns or the grilled butter prawns). The chawanmushi was also good.

I felt the fried rice and cha soba portions to be way too big. And I would rate them the worst. We tried the chashu fried rice and unagi fried rice, both which were wayy too oily and both kind of tasteless (as compared to others I have tried). Cha soba was just sad. Soba is plain and sticky and doughy, and the dipping sauce also sad. It's honestly worse than some that you find in food stalls (non-restaurant).

Overall, I did have a delightful time at this buffet. Polite service, fast cleanup, food coming out fast and relatively tasty, reasonable price. What more can one ask for?

I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 as I feel they do not have any wow factor (non of their dishes really stood out). But otherwise, I would definitely...

Its a small quaint place much similar to a small cafe, perfect for small gatherings of 3-4 pax. Been here a few times and just had dinner here with my friends.

First off, the table service was great! Well, even though its a tuesday and it wasn't as busy as weekends. The ladies were very attentive, friendly and hardworking even though it was nearing end of service. Good job! 👍

The food is delightful as usual with a great variety to choose from. Absolutely loved the Aburi Shake Mentai Sushi, although they could be abit more generous with the mentai sauce (seemed to get lesser the more we ordered).

Seafood was fresh and tasty as usual, thoroughly enjoyed my salmon sashimi while my friends literally devoured prawns after prawns.

For Desserts, one can't really expect too much due to the lack of variety but tried the mango and ichigo mochi today along with my favourite salted caramel chocolate ice-cream. I tried the mango mochi which was enjoyable and unexpected as i thought it would be too sweet but it was very 'light' and was definitely a nice end to a meal.

For Food ordering it is simple, just scan the QR code given on a receipt given and begin ordering. WiFi is also provided so don't worry about your data going bust.

Price wise its a tad bit on the pricey side for a buffet, but its understandable due to covid.

Comparing to other buffet restaurants i have been to, i'd give the overall experience today a personal rating of:

Service: 10/10 Food: 9/10 Ambience: 9/10 Location: 8/10 Value for money: 8/10

P.S, loved the music 👌 Keep up the...

Very terrible experience, saw all the good review and brought my whole family there on a sat night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Make an reservation in chope at 8pm. Operating hour was until 10..30pm and last order was at 9.45pm. The kitchen staffs started to wash and clean up the kitchen at 9.10pm. The sushi counter's staff also washing and cleaning up the display cupboard. I placed my last order at 9.20pm. Waitress reminded me about my last order at 9.40pm where I told her that my order still haven't came. She checked with the kitchen's staffs and they will quarrelling inside which I can heard it from my table. The kitchen's staffs refused to do my order and I saw a few of them walk out at 9.45pm. Finally the waitress manage to get 1 of the staff to open the stove and make my last order and was being serve at 10pm. It really spoil our night and my daughter's birthday dinner. We paid a buffet price and its is essential for any reputable restaurant to uphold its commitment to serving customers until the last order deadline, especially when those orders are placed within the appropriate time frame. This experience was not only deeply disappointing but also completely unacceptable. But I would give service star to the waitresses that stand up and do the right thing for customers. Btw, I had send in my feedback before writing this review. Management seem not interested to know as they did not replied me at all. I wouldn't give any...

This is our third time here, and it just keeps getting better! We visited with a party of four for the high tea buffet, and at only $39.90++/pax, it’s an absolute steal for the quality and variety offered. The fresh sashimi were outstanding—so succulent and flavorful! The hotpot was another highlight, with multiple soup bases to choose from and the freshest prawns we’ve ever had. We lost count of how many rounds of prawn we ordered—everything was just that good. The menu is incredibly extensive, featuring steamed, fried, grilled, and raw dishes, plus sushi and so much more. It’s impossible to try everything in one visit! On top of that, free-flow drinks and ice cream make this buffet an unbeatable deal. Honestly, we wonder if they’re even making money with such generous offerings! The ambience is clean and comfortable, with soft piano music playing in the background. We were even served by a cute robot, which added a fun, high-tech touch to the experience. And let’s not forget the amazing service! The staff were all friendly and attentive, especially Jessie, the manager, who greeted us warmly and served us with a constant smile despite our endless orders. We’re so happy to have discovered Shin Minori—top-notch food, fantastic service, and incredible value. Highly, HIGHLY recommended! Will definitely be back for more! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
