I have been a regular customer of this specific outlet for years, I mainly order from grabfood then I’d occasionally order takeaway physically at the place. It seemed like today was crowded and there were only visibly 2 staff doing the work. Ordered from the kiosk and waited outside. But the number flashing thing outside has been broken for a while so I had no choice but to wait inside where it was cramped because the entrance had people queuing up to use the kiosk and staff coming in and out and others coming in and leaving. When I went inside, the number flashing basically skipped my number/ showed the numbers before and after my number so I thought maybe it’s not in chronological order and continued waiting. Then I saw them bring out a bag of noodles and drink which looked like my order but I couldn’t be sure. Checked the bag for a receipt with the order number but there was nothing. Then continued waiting and saw the numbers be flashed in chronological order so I realised they must have skipped my order and also not have indicated the order number on the physical food. I checked with the staff and he rudely responded to me confirming that the takeaway order is mine and he gave me the impression like I was wasting his time or I missed the timing for my order when in reality my order was not called and there was no receipt attached to the food order to indicate anything. I came home and found out my order was missing an egg which was an add on I paid extra for.
Other times when I ordered from the place physically, there was once where I ordered takeaway as usual and while I received my order receipt with the number, I went outside to wait and waited for more than 40 min and realised my order number was not flashed on the screen at all. Inside looked like it had only a few customers so I was confused. The staff saw me waiting outside the whole time but ignored me. They were generally free and not doing anything so I thought it was weird and finally went in to check. Turns out for some reason the kiosk machine had some issues sending over the order to the staff so they never received the order and I waited for nothing and had to order verbally at the cashier.
I do enjoy specific foods from this place but I hope improvements can be made on the things I mentioned above :’) maybe it’s also my fault for not clarifying earlier but even when I did try to clarify I was met with a dismissive and aggressive response. In general there were multiple times I’ve had not the most pleasant experiences when ordering from the...
Read moreTakagi Ramen has been known to be creative with its ramen offerings and drinks over the years, and the President Laksa Ramen is no exception! Specially released in line with Singapore's 57th birthday, the ramen is loaded with an assortment of seafood toppings (Hokkaido baby crayfish, mock crabstick, Asari clams). We particularly enjoyed their rendition of their laksa broth, thick and sufficiently lemak from the coconut milk. They offer quite a dollop of sambal to mix into the laksa gravy, so you can adjust the spiciness to one's preference. The crispy laksa leaves and beansprouts added moderate crunch that contrasted nicely against the firmer texture of the noodles.
If you are looking for something simple and filling option, their Chashumen is basics done right. 👍🏻 Boiled for over 12 hours & enhanced with a light shio seasoning, their broth is creamy and medium-bodied so it doesn't feel cloying. Comes with 5 pieces of tender, slow-braised chashu pork slices, thinly sliced green scallions and blanched silver sprouts atop their firm Hakata-style noodles. Would definitely recommend topping up an additional dollar for their ajitama egg! 🍜
They also offer several sides to go with your ramen! Their Deep Fried Gyoza (5 pcs) were juicy and stuffed with a generous portion of chicken/vegetable filling. We also appreciate that the dumpling skin wasn't too thick and pan-fried till crispy & golden brown. The Taro Calpis Soda Mocktail was unique and refreshing - try it if you are feeling adventurous! . 📍 Address: 6 Woodlands Square, #01-04, Singapore 737737, open 24 hours 8 outlets across 🇸🇬, including Marine Parade and...
Read moreSaw this name many times on Grab app and finally passed by the shop last Thursday at Woods Square. Tried Chili Crab Ramen and it tastes good.
Service wise also quite impressive. I saw someone asking who is this Aunty Peggy who were mentioned so many times in the comments. She is one of the front facing staff who does a good job at helping the shop promoting their food, and providing good customer services. She answered all my questions as a first-timer to the shop about food, about process, about shop info etc. Very friendly to everyone and she is an asset to the company. She told us her name is Peggy and helped to support them by giving google reviews if we find their good and service are good.
Like someone mentioned below, their self-ordering machine only accept NETS or cash payment at counter. So please take note. Drinks are collected separately so remember not to leave that out or waiting for drinks to be served. There is not GST charge so price wise is reasonable. This place opens 24hrs and space is a bit limited for indoor and outdoor. For outdoor which is sheltered inside the building, there is no aircon but the ceiling fans are cooling enough. Some said the place is very cramped, but to me, it is still reasonable; if u been to Japan and seen those even smaller ones, u will not complain.
These are just my personal opinion....
