I would not visit this cafe again although the food is not bad due to the lousy service!
My friend and I reserved a table for 2. Waitress just pointed to a small table at the corner and while walking there, I overheard a girl who was with her friend too, asking the waitress whether they could change to a bigger table that is meant for 4. The waitress said no quite firmly. We thought that the cafe could be fully booked hence the strict rule. However my friend and I were there since the opening hour of 12pm till 4.30pm (girls can chat and eat for very long, don't judge) and there were barely any customers! I think they can be more flexible when the cafe has enough seats. This also reflects a lack of customer service attitude.
We were supposed to scan and ordered through our phone but for some reason the website did not allow us to order our drinks (long black & latte) as it indicated out of stock. A clarification with the staff at the cashier area revealed that the 2 drinks were not out stock but they did not suggest ways to rectify this problem or to take our order. Instead, they just looked on while my friend tried again and again infront of them to order and this was even after she showed them the message. Eventually my friend had to suggest to them that she will submit the food order through the website and they could take the drinks order manually. They did not respond to her so she went ahead to submit and returned to our seats. We thought that was the end of it until the male service staff approached us and told us to again order through the scanned website. This time I tried and I said that I also couldn't submit. It still indicated out of stock. Again my friend suggested that they take our drinks order manually and this time round he responded by saying "no, because if we can't do it, it will also mean that the rest of the tables can't too". We were speechless 😶. Did he mean that we should not order any drinks at all then? And was he pushing his problem to us, his paying customers to solve? We ignored him as we really had no idea how to reply to him. In the end our drinks still came and when we went to the cashier to pay the bill, the drinks were reflected on the bill. It seems that they manually input our drinks...
What's good: high celings, beautiful design with the nature etc, Really nice staff, good vibes, very crispy waffle loved it. Wine collection is really interesting
What's ok: Crispy chicken well cooked but felt like I've seen it somewhere before, felt supermarket chicken cutlets use to get for 2 dollars in my army camp which taste dam good but like its 15 dollars man lowkey heart pain both in memory and my wallet. i mean if yall made the chicken cutlet in house then wow great job teach me how to make it but yea if you had that supermarket chicken cutlet you know and you will feel like, tsk really..... Plating wise nice presentation
What to improve: chicken and waffle, please serve with maple syrup. Ik can ask but like its chicken and waffles man should be a given. Your maple syrup please give more maybe half that metal dixy cup. Felt like rationing with the maple syrup. I know I could have asked for more but lazy innit.
Bang average coffee, dark roast really meh considering the machine yall have very dissapointed. Change your bean supplier, or the type you buy, you can do better. Your not doing your machine justice. Coffee level currently=mccafe coffee
I'm just very picky yea not everyone's like me but yea it's the little things adding up
Price: 25 dollars for an ice latte and a chicken and waffle. Including service charge and gst

Read moreI was at the cafe with my family last evening to celebrate Mother's Day. While searching for a place to celebrate my daughter's birthday in late May, this unique cafe nestled in our neighborhood pops up in Google search. We have been staying in Sembawang area for years but have not explored to this part of the industrial area for food! It is a 15 minutes walk via the PCN for nonetheless we took grab there due to aged parents. We ordered a Mother's Day special menu which comes with a special Chicken Cordon Bleu, soup of the day, a slice of Japanese Basque Cheescake, a coffee and a glass of house pour. The main was exquisitely plated which added joy to the diner. I chose white wine to go with the chicken and its perfect match! The rest of the family ordered 2 sets of Rosemary grilled chicken, a Carbonara, A Hawaiian Pizza and Truffle fries. The cheesecake was so good that my daughter wanted another piece and she wanted the a whole cake for her coming birthday! Before we even finish this meal, they are already talking about coming here again for the rest of the items on the menu that we have no chance to try today. Yes, the food earned the praises of these 2 gluttonies! While i did not try the grilled chicken, i tried the carbonara which tasted creamy and not too greasy. The pizza was thin-crusted and tasted way better than many of the pizzas out there. The staff were especially nice and helpful and checking at our table several times for assistance. This is an Instag-worthy cafe and if there is anything to pick on, I would say perhaps it would be nice if the place is airconditioned? Anyway, I will be back for...
