YiJia Seafood （壹佳海鮮煮炒） — Restaurant in Singapore

Coffeeshop is non air conditioned and the warm weather did not help. It’s Mother’s Day today so diners tonight were especially more and there were abit of chaotic and slow dish delivery to the tables. We had made reservation knowing that it is Mother’s Day but when we arrived, the server seemed to not have allocated a table for us. So service wise was really not superb and I would highly suggest not to visit them on festive or celebration seasons unless you love their food or don’t mind the long waiting time.

We waited for our dishes for about 45 minutes, close to an hour after much checking in and asking why our orders didn’t come. Dishes from other table who came later than us got their dishes served faster which got us more puzzled. So the sequence to how they cook their orders kept us wondering too.

Food wise, we ordered curry fish head, prawn paste chicken, ngoh hiang, cereal prawns, gu lou yok, salad you tiao and sliced pork. Cost us about $130 for 8 pax. Portion was definitely more than enough and we had to pack home. Taste was mediocre,...

Had a very unpleasant experience at this zichar place. Not recommended to eat at this place unless you have the patience for their long waiting time. We ordered for takeaway on Mother's day. They told us that we had to wait for 1h and they will give us a call when the food was ready. However, after 1h we did not receive any call from them and went to check with them only to find out that they had forgotten about our order. We had to wait for another 30mins before we got our food and prior to this they were still busy serving food to others that came later us.

Dined at YiJia yesterday and was really pleasantly surprised! Although it’s a coffee shop, the ingredients are not compromised at all. The curry fish head is unique and full of flavour, the pork is fresh, and the salted egg chicken is my child’s favourite. The service staff are friendly 👍 I’ve eaten at many restaurants, and this was a very worthwhile experience for the price.
