Starý Biskupský Hostinec — Restaurant in Nitra

Stunning little place at the edge of town. I had this place on my to-go list for years which just shows how long this place has been around in Nitra. It's one of those places where you go to feel a little extra, where you can stroll around the park just like a 19th century lady and then sit down for bruch/lunch/coffee/tea and leave satisfied home for a nap. We walked in sat down on one of two terraces (Had to move from the front terrace due to some sort of wasp "invasion" - were a little more annoying so if you have an allergy go sit inside or on the back terrace). We had to grab cushions from the front because for some reason there were none in the back. The service was lovely, considerate and took our pace into mind when serving dishes. Their food was absolutely delicious and apparently they have a different set of food every day! It's a family friendly place, and has kids toys as well as a few sweet treats that looked absolutely scrumptious! We had another small family gathering in here. Unfortunatelly we couldn't take a seat outside again because of windy weather. That would be much easier for a kid who can attend nearby playground or just grass area. The interior has some really strong accents, I was lost between the original art, walls and furniture. The food was of modern receipes, generally delicious, nicely served; I've had a chicken soup and a wasabi risotto with a grilled fish. Obsluha bola rychla, prozakaznicky pristup podla mna vyzera inak, ale boli mili. Co im vytknem, ze sa neopytali ako sme boli spokojni s jedlom a ani pri plateni sa neopytali ci sme boli spokojni s jedlom a servisom. Prostredie je velmi pekne. Podnik ma dve terasy a vo vnutri je aj mensia galeria obrazov.

Co sa tyka jedla samotneho, absolutne bez chuti. Na prvy pohlad je zrejme ze sa kuchari pokusaju robit vyssi level gastronomie. Vidiet to na servirovani jedla, pouzivani mikrobyliniek a pod., ale samotne jedlo je bez akejkolvek chuti. Mal som panenku s opekanymi zemiakmi a hluzovkovou omackou. Panenka bola vyborne urobena, makucka, ale chutila ako obycajny kus opeceneho masa, ziadna sol, korenie, zemiaky detto. To jedlo sa uz nedalo ani dosolit, aj ked som to skusal 3x. Hluzovkova omacka absolutne nevyrazna. Partnerka mala rizoto, ktore chutou neurazilo, ale ani nenadchlo. Pri cene cca 15 EUR, by som ale cakal ze to rizoto bude vysperkovane a chute budu intenzivne. Najviac si pochutil nas syn, ktory mal najjednoduchsie jedlo, dal si vyprazany rezen, ktory bol ponukany v detskej porcii. Ochutnal som aj ja a to bolo jedine jedlo, ktore som nemal potrebu dochutit. Cenovo velmi nadhodnotene. Platili sme takmer 50 EUR, za co sa bez problemov vyborne naje rodina v centre Prahy, Mnichova...
